Friends:
Here's a link for Andy Garcia's new film "The Lost City". It's a movie about the Cuban revolution, without Hollywood's typical pro-Castro slant. Andy wants us to send it out to all of our friends to spread the word of the film's upcoming limited release. As many of you know, he had a lot of difficulty getting Hollywood to take it on. This film is very a very important piece telling "our story" for the first time. If you can forward this poster and release information out to your friends, your support will be greatly appreciated.
"The Lost City" opens on April 28th, 2006, in Miami, New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles. It will open in Washington D.C., Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, San Francisco and San Diego in the following weeks.
Thanks, will spread the word. Andy seems like a good egg....
Interesting. Hadn't heard of it, but will keep my eyes open to see if it opens in a theatre nearby.
Dang, I used to like Andy Garcia.
Now I like him even more!
Looks interesting - I'll have to get it on video, though, because of babies.
Ping, rrrod.
Andy Garcia and Gloria Estafan are both anti-Castro Cuban-Americans. I respect them as artists and as patriots!
Joe, if this falls under your Florida catagory, ping away!
Bump
Well, I hope that all Freepers who live in those areas will go out and support the movie so we can get it out here in the hinterland.
I learned quite a bit about Andy Garcia from an article in a cigar connoisseur magazine. He's had a very interesting life. I always liked his onscreen performances too, so this is a movie I would definitely watch.
Yep. He is not your run of the mill Hollywood idjit....
