Back again. Just finished the movie. It was just OK. I love Danny Elfman, but the 'pop tunes' the Oompa Loompas sang were just horrible. We fast forwarded through all the music numbers.

GOOD MORNING PHIL. It's probably afternoon there.

I am a slave to the phone all day today, waiting to find out if I indeed have the job offer from that software company. We shall see.

So are you a big Tim Burton fan, or did you just like that one movie? What did you like about the movie, btw? I'm curious to know. I thought it was just OK. I think I liked the so-called "original" with Gene Wilder much better.

I wouldn't call myself a "huge" Burton fan (my Mom hates him) but I have a good appreciation of his material.

I feel that the old movie is kind of overrated. It's more of a genial bubbly candy-land sort of thing. The new one, in the spirit of the book, is weirder, darker, and edgier, and I like that.

Great job, pcottraux! As someone said your Hillary gives me the willies too. The DNC party animal wouldn't be her front man Bill would it? "Cause all the other hard working Dems are hard at work undercutting our president and his authority. Funny she's pretty quiet now that polls show how Americans want our borders closed.

I never heard back from the software company AT ALL. I talked to my recruiter who set me up with the interviews and he said they have given him NO feedback whatsoever and were not returning his calls today. (I must have scared them away).

This may, however, turn out to be a BIG blessing in disguise...
