1. Find the weakness in Florida. Go ahead. I'll wait
2. Billy Donovan has been here before. Ben Howland has not.
3. Banners don't win championships, players do Tradition is a valuable thing to have on your side in the banter between fans. But UCLA's 11 national championships won't help the Bruins one iota come tipoff Monday.
4. Florida has had the stronger tournament run
5. UCLA used up all its good karma escaping Gonzaga The Bruins' desperate scramble to score the final 11 points of the game and extricate themselves from near-certain defeat was the Rally of the Year. 6. Balance Florida has five players averaging double figures for the season. And for the postseason. And for the NCAA Tournament.
7. Layups, dunks and Lee Humphrey That's been Donovan's offensive mantra this NCAA Tournament. The Gators are pounding it inside, driving hard to the basket, getting high-percentage shots ... or kicking it to Humphrey
8. Corey Brewer: matchup trouble The 6-foot-8 Brewer has had a great Tournament, averaging 14.4 points and making 50 percent of his 3-point shots. He killed George Mason Saturday night, and he'll be a handful for UCLA as well.
9. The Bruins don't want to run with Florida
10. Florida doesn't mind grinding with the Bruins .
11. This is not a dance team mismatch Yes, UCLA's dance team is a No. 1 seed -- one of the strongest No. 1s in recent memory. Wow.
12. Scratching the 10-year title itch It's been a decade since Florida won the national title it most cares about, in football.
20. It's Florida's time It's time for the worshipers of the pointed ball to realize what can happen with the round one. Florida 65, UCLA 59.

I was just about to ping you here......LOL
But you beat me.
Looks like this is the only thread on the game!
Hey, oxen -- sorry for those orange & blue posts on the 24 thread. heheh.
yeah, I was sure there'd be a thread going tonight!
course I can't type AND watch and "whoohooo" all at the same time ... good to see you here. This is wonderful, a good night to be a gator!
GO GATORS GO!!!!!
now 68 - 53! good to get that margin back.
... with a minute and a half to play, wow, it's gone fast, these last few minutes. I was worried as we lost some of the margin earlier this half.
Congratulations to Florida Gators.....NCAA Champs
I hate Digger Phelps.
WAY TO GO, GATORS!
Good right to the end!!
This is a great night to have "gator" in you name! Good game, woohoo!
20. It's Florida's time
Arguably the state richest with athletic talent in America, it has never won a college basketball championship. There are scads of football titles strewn about the place, but nothing in hoops. It's time for the worshipers of the pointed ball to realize what can happen with the round one. Florida 65, UCLA 59.
Actual score: FLA 73 UCLA 57
Congratulations to Billy Donovan and all the FL Gators!
yes -- coach gave credit all around just now. I'm watching the highlights now, can't get enough of it! But time for bed.
Later, gators!
Now if we can help KH also win in 2006.....I'll be doubly happy!
Nite Nite......Sweet Dreams!
Ah yes, 1996. Wasn't that the infamous do-over game?
woo hoo!
I'll send you a hundred bucks if you're not a loser Bulldog or UT fan that got pissed at all the losing to the GATORS. I suppose you could also be a Kentucky, VAndy, South CArolina fan also. Your ridiculous comparison reveals your lack of intelligence.
How is that crow tasting muawiyah? It appears everything I said came to pass, and everything YOU said was hogwash! Who was your pick to win it all? Duke? Ha! The Gators would have annihilated them!
Well he was sure right on this particular team, eh? The GATORS dominated the entire tournament. The only team that gave them a decent game was Georgetown.
Having watched the entire game very carefully I'd suggest that if the referees had stopped play every time your young traveler shuffled his feet wrong or forgot to dribble the ball, we'd still be watching it 3 days later!
A correctly referred game would have put Florida out in the first round.
