The best guitarists are those like George Harrison and early Clapton, that played solos that FIT THE SONG, rather than DETRACT from it a la Zeppelin, Van Halen.
My Fave guitar solos are Danny Cedrone's on "Rock Around the Clock", Otis Rush's solo on "All Your Love" and Lonnie Mack's solo on the Doors' "Roadhouse Blues."
Again, it was pretentious sh-t by 70s hair bands that RUINED rock and roll. Ten minute solos? PUH-LEEZE!
sorry...I pretty much liked their early blues stuff and the later misty medieval trippy stuff
