Here's a theory... finding a mate is like finding a space at the mall during the holidays.

If you get there early, you have your choice of the best spots.

If you wait too long, the pickin's are slim. You either have to lower your expectations and take a space farther away, or spend a good deal of time looking for that prime spot -- often waiting for the person who was there to leave.

I'm not sure how to fit infidelity into this theory. Is it taking a spot for which another has been patiently waiting, parking in a reserved section or tow-away zone, or simply rolling your SUV over the little sports car in the way.
