My brief synopsis of last night as I watched it speeding through it on TiVo:

For minute of Kat seemed pretty good. I stopped for the judges comments and wondered what the hell I missed? I'll watch the full thing tonight but can't imagine it was that bad. Her, "I'm the best don't you know" stage presence keeps me from watching her. i just have to close my eyes and listen...

Elliot - for the 91st week in a row i don't get his voice. He's good but I have never had a "wow" moment with him singing or on stage. Sorry. Doesn't do it for me.

Kellie - sucked. Simple as that. LMFAO when Andrea correctly called the color of her hair. I also think Foster wanted her gone that why he convinced her to go for the high note. It was a vacant and poor performance.

Paris - I listed to the first four seconds, realized it was a Streisand song. I hate Streisand. FFW to the judges comments.....

Taylor - I love Taylor's passion on stage and hate it when he puts the microphone in the stand. Last nigth had glimpses of Taylor being Taylor but for the most part it was boring. One of his bottom two performances for me.

Chris - stole the show IMHO. Good vocal and great performance. Very passionate and gave the alt-rock diehards something to be happy with with a few of the notes. Again, for those who think he "screams" everything, you obviously aren't objectively listening. It's his to lose IYAM.

Bottom three - will not be surprised if it is the three girls. If not Kat it will be Elliot. I just don't think he plays in Peioria.

Should go home - Kellie. She is by far the worst contestant left and way out of her league.

Will go home - Paris.

None of the contestants have had a "Wow" moment unless you want to amend that to, "Wow, that really sucked" or "Wow, look at McPhee's.......".

The only two performers who have shown any growth in the last few weeks are Chris and Elliott. Chris has shown that he need not do power tunes and that he can bring it a bit softer and most women I talk to simply find him to be the sexy man that Ace could only aspire to. Love songs and classics are not his forte but he's handled them as good as could be. When he's out on the real world he can certainly throw the audience a change up and it will work.

Elliott has come the furthest overall in both appearance and performance. He is going to appeal more to women then men but so what? He's had to learn everything on the fly and he's proving himself to be a player here. He has outsung Taylor throughout this competition but likely won't beat him. I don't think he expects to either but people at home have seen that man grow into something with great upside.

I also had to say in listening to Paris last night that she is simply too far ahead of her time. She can handle classics better than Pickler or McPhee, she can do power notes, softer stuff and really, she is going to be amazing when she grows up. SHE'S 17 YEARS OLD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.
