Thank you for such a great post! I am a HUGE Ace Young fan, and I'm glad you saw what I did....someone who's not just a pretty face but who is genuine and sincere about his music, his life and the way he lives it.

Yeah, I don't get the guest for next week....I know he can sing but not what I would think AI needs as a guest. And love songs? Please.... no body better sing one Celine Dione song or I will have to hurl!

Yes that's right. George did choose and I remember the gasps when it was the divas in the bottom 3. I was even shocked. George didn't want to choose and they put him in a very uncomfortable position. Bo was the only one to figure out the middle of the stage, making Seacrest look foolish. Seacrest stood in the middle of the stage this year so as not to be put in that situation again! Taylor is a class act like Bo and they knew he would try the same thing. The producers are being jerks with that stunt.

April 20, 2006 --

"AMERICAN Idol" loser Bo Bice's 15 minutes of fame are way, way over - especially at O'Brien's pub on West 46th Street. That's where witnesses say the half-in-the-bag Southern rocker took a cheap and ineffective swing at strapping ex-New York Giants football star Glenn Parker Sunday night.

The bizarre tangle, in which the long-haired weakling inexplicably risked getting his block knocked off by the strapping former offensive lineman, began when the gentlemanly, star-struck Parker casually approached Bice to chit-chat.

"Glenn had noticed Bo and simply asked him if he was really Bo Bice - and Bo just stared at him and said, 'No, I'm not. My name is Kevin.' It was weird," our witnesssaid. "Glenn went away, but he started feeling like he might have imposed on the guy. So he went back to him to apologize for causing any discomfort."

Parker, 39 - who at 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds has crushed many an opponent during his 13 years in the NFL with the Giants, Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs - and everybody else in the popular watering hole couldn't believe what happened next.

"Bo just went at him with his fists - maybe he thought he was Simon Cowell or something, but he tried to hit him," our observer reports. "Glenn grabbed his arms to block the punches, but Bice broke loose and managed to graze Glenn under the chin. It was crazy because Glenn could have wiped the floor with him."

Parker signaled a bartender and together they threw the "Idol" also-ran out and told him to scram. "He was a real pain in the ass," one worker said.

Joey Lee, an agent for Bice, who lost out to Carrie Underwood in the smash-hit show's fourth season, didn't get back to us. Bice was once busted for felony cocaine possession in Alabama, but had the charge dismissed after completing a "drug diversion program."

Bice, who once broke his foot while performing in concert in Manchester, N.H., had a huge Top 10 hit last year with "Inside Your Heaven." He's lucky he doesn't have two heavenly shiners after his latest shenanigans.

> 2. Paris Bennett (-1)

Is this a joke? Paris is SO overrated. Cover your eyes and see what a limited range she has compared to Katherine. Paris has no chance to be the next Idol, nor should she.

No joke. On the overall rankings, she's up this high because of consistency more than anything else. Everyone else (in my opinion) has had at least one bad week, which has allowed Paris to "bubble" up to the top of my standings. If things next week go as I expect, she'll probably be overtaken by Elliott, and maybe even Taylor.

Gasp! Not good.....:( Just after I posted he was a class act. I love Bo, but that does sound like that was uncalled for. :(

It is a gossip column, so take it for what it's worth.

I don't expect Pickler will be eliminated this soon, no matter what she does. Paris and Elliot will probably have to go first.

My guess as to the order of elimination from here:

6) Elliot
5) Paris
4) Taylor
3) Kellie
2) Katharine
Winner: Chris

Should that be the order? No. But I believe it will be. Elliot and Paris just don't have the fan bases that the others have. Taylor has the largest support but will be the first of the "big 4" to go because, well, that's what Simon wants (see SirLinksAlot's posts on Simon's inability to comprehend how to market him). The Kellie/Katharine battle will be interesting. Kellie has a huge, albeit vapid, fan base. But frankly, she' not nearly as good a singer as Katharine. It's not even close. Couple that with her twin just won last year and that's why I think she'll go home before Katharine. So it will come down to Chris and Katharine in the finals. Given those two, Simon can't lose. I think Chris win's because he will have broader appeal with alternative rock crossing over into the pop charts (Nickelback, Green Day, 3 Doors Down, et al). But Simon would be happy either way.

Just my 2 cent prognostocation.

Frankly, I thought Paris's vocal on Tuesday was the absolute best. It was stunning in parts (and yes, I did go back and "just listen"). She won't win but she needs to sing that type of music. She can hand with the Norah Jones's and Diana Krall's of the world IMHO.

Oh didn't know that. Thanks for that info. Didn't sound like the Bo who gave his house away to Katrina victims. Sometimes I do think the pressure of fame gets to him though. Would be tough to be in a continual spotlight.

I think next week's theme is love songs (not sure) and that's the connection with Bocelli. Should be interesting, at least

Bocelli is too high-brow for AI. He'll never say it on camera, but he'll think all of the contestants are chopped liver as regards their singing abilities. What he'll make of Pickle is beyond me since she's really a bad singer who needs to hide behind schlock fluff and...ahem..."feminine wiles" in order to sound decent.

Not only that, but when he performs, he's going to demonstrate the difference between a genuinely good voice and what the contestants have to offer. He'll also put all the young viewers (who are the backbone of the show's ratings) to sleep. Let us not forget this is the generation that thinks what Kanye West does is good singing. They also learned (wrongly) from Simon's slams of Clay Aiken as "too Broadway," that there's something wrong with a higher class of music than what today's schlock pop "artists" have to offer.

Odd... I got the opposite effect. When I just listened, she sounded average, but I marked her high because it was a good overall performance. Oh well, if we all thought the same, it's be a pretty boring thread. :)

You might be surprised. My hubby thinks Bocelli will be great and probably a really nice guy.

I wasn't an Ace FAN per se, but I thought he had talent and was being unnecessarily bashed on these threads. I never thought he'd make it to the end. I think he's better than Elliott. But that's about it here at this point. My man is Chris, and no matter what happens to him, I will be buying his CD's. I can't say the same about anyone else still up there.
