Oh Yeah, Taylor did say he's been raring to sing it too...

How do you know that? Will he have enough time to do it justice?

I agree with you totally. I am getting concerned she could win also. UGH! I just don't understand who she is fooling out there. I wouldn't buy a record of hers. Country has been done, outstandingly, by Carrie. This little twit isn't good enough to wash Carrie's snot rags!

That will be the signal for Al Sharpton to mobilize his race-baiting strike team!

Those sharks have been circling around Paris for months just waiting to scream "racism" and hold the AI owner/management up for whatever they can get. Thing is, I think the AI powers-that-be are just as big a bunch of sharks as race pimps like Sharpton.

"Production will have in place weekly monitoring procedures designed to prevent individuals from unfairly influencing the outcome of the voting by generating significant blocks of votes using technical enhancements. The producers reserve the right to remove any identified 'power dialing' votes."

This is on the Americanidol.com FAQ page. Do you think that they are removing power votes from the idols that they dont think are marketable and keeping others... aka Kellie??

Yes, we were right about Bucky. I called it in #4582.

I cringe whenever Pickle is miked up. Her songs are bad enough, her pseuso-ditzy comments are far worse. I wish her gone, but seems like lots of people are voting for her.
What can we say? America loves airhead blondes.

Country has been done, outstandingly, by Carrie.

Yes, but if Pickle wins, she will diminish Carrie. Country music is a genre that already has plenty of pretty blonde women with voices that are similar. Pickle will occupy the exact same niche as Carrie -- an American Idol winner that Country radio can exploit. Everyone in the industry wants a piece of the AI phenomenon right now.

Is there room for two women who, on the surface, seem like clones of each other? Simon apparently thinks so. Remember back when he dissed Carrie while complimenting Pickle?

A sampling of Country's current crop of blondes:

The Dixie Chicks (I know, I know, but they're here only to make the point about blondes in Country music)

Faith Hill

Lee Ann Womack

LeAnn Rimes

And, of course, Carrie...seen here performing at the CMT Awards this past Monday.

The most unique woman in Country right now both musically and in her physical appearance is Gretchen Wilson.

It's entirely possible.

Wynonna wasn't very accepting of Carrie, will she be more accepting of the sleazebag from Hooker Hollar?

Wynonna doesn't count. The real question is will Country radio accept Pickle? They were extremely eager to welcome Carrie and have given her tremendous support. Radio airplay translates into CD and singles sales. Will the format welcome a near clone of Carrie who is also an AI winner? I think the answer is yes, because right now AI is the golden goose everyone wants a part of if they can get it.

Time will tell. I can just hear hickler accepting a CMA.. 'where's maaah snot rag?' I'd be more concerned about her giving country a black eye.

Something else to consider. Carrie and Kelly wouldn't be after the same market. I can't even imagine Hickler singing gospel. I bought Carrie's CD's but would NEVER buy one of Snot Rags. So, there is probably room for both. Carrie is wholesome and Hickler is well.... not. :)

Nikko Smith sang Georgia last season and it was one of his best performances. Taylor's CD version was wayyy better with more passion and soul.

His CD version was looooong ( about 6 minutes ), because of the bluesy guitar riffs in between.

I think he can do justice to it in 90 minutes.

TIME TO USE THIS BULLET.

Folks,

I missed the Queen Night Group performance ( one of the very few that they performed after several nights of guest performers ).

I heard Taylor was awesome on his WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS spot.

Does anyone have any info as to where I can download or watch the video online ?

Thanks in advance

LOL if he sings for 90 minutes, he'll need oxygen! :) I know you meant 90 seconds. Yes, he better do it now or he may not get the chance.
