I just think Chris is the annointed one and will win the "competition". About it, too.

Heck, I don't even think he'll appeal to the Carrie Underwood crowd ( cross-over country/pop). Guess that would be me. So, count me in! :)

They tried pushing Bo at us last year, but Carrie still won. There might be hope yet. ;)

For those of you who stored last week's result show on your TiVo (if you have one ), here's a delicious moment...
After Kellie asked Ryan what the word "BALLSY" meant and Ryan replied : "Well, we don't have time for that now", watch closely as Chris leans forward to Kellie and whispered something to her.
I can imagine it would sound like this : "SHUT UP, CAN'T YOU SEE YOU'RE MAKING A FOOL OF YOURSELF ?" or something of that nature.
TiVo is your friennd :)

I can't stand to see him win and then have to sing some schmaltzy Dianne Warren composed coronation song like -- A MOMENT LIKE THIS. Now *THAT* would be a nightmare. It was at that point last year when I knew Bo had zero chance in the finale. That song was made for Carrie and AI's foray into Country/Pop.
To: SirLinksalot
all of this is soooo true!
Chris will be the money maker because of the whole package.
And the whole point of the show is to find the next American Idol who will sell millions and millions of CD's.
If Taylor wins due to the public voting him in, the recording company would be nuts not to scoop Chris up also. I say get them both into their own studios and recording right away and market both of their first CD's equally.

Some more interesting news about Taylor from an Alabama paper:
Taylor was in New Orleans for a wedding on the Friday before Katrina hit. His flight out was cancelled and he needed to get to Las Vegas for the audition!! He chartered a taxi to Munroe, Louisiana, for $400, and was able to fly out from there to LV. It was THAT close that he almost didnt make the audition
Fate works in strange ways...

Two spoilers I got from the internet ( close your eyes now if you don't wanna know) ...
Elliott - Chariot by Gavin Degraw.
Chris What If? by Creed
CAVEAT : Spoilers are just that, and I'm just the messenger --- don't shoot me when I'm wrong.
To: SirLinksalot
I saw that about Chris's song. It will do absolutely nothing to dissuade the "he just yells everything" crowd...not that they could be anyway.

Just trying to figure out who the REAL bullies are around here.I haven't seen ANY bullying. A lot of accusations of bullying, but nothing that can be substantiated.

Here's a Bucky Covington spoiler :
In an interview, relatives of Bucky say he's going "country all the way" this week. He'll be wearing a black cowboy hat, and may throw in a few dance moves. According to same relatives, it's a song that Bucky feels comfortable with. Speculation says maybe a Tim McGraw song.
To: SirLinksalot
Oh, good! Bucky will be in his element, and this will go to his advantage.
I want Pickler to go home this week!

Sounds to me like Hicks is already affluent, and is not doing AI for the money.

I was reading about an American Idol bit on MSNBC last night, wherein the FCC compared AI to pro-wrestling (ie, they're both rigged). I think the segment was actually about votefortheworst.com
I had a nice laugh at that comparison, even though I love the show!

I cannot begin to tell you how much I hate that girl and her playing dumb act. Why do women think they have to be dumb to make it?
Pick Pickler? How about Kick Pickler?

I'm glad someone else agrees with me. She is a very poor role model for today's young women.
But Simon can always market her as the next Paris Hilton or Jessica Simpson.
The next dizzy blonde vamp. Or as they say down in Albemarle, a "loosey-goosey".
Are the Playboy photos far behind?
