Ah, spring, when flowers...and romance...bloom.
[Stage whisper] Color me skeptical, but: (a) Charming Hollywood types take an intimate walk along the beach...and invite a media horde along to record the moment. (b) We've been having rainy and what passes for cold weather out here in Southern California, not exactly beach weather for the ultra-thin. (c) This couldn't have been...ummm...staged, could it? Nah!

It does look staged. Reminds me of some pics I saw of Brittany Spears on her husband taking a casual stoll on the beach....surrounded by about 100 photographers and a helicopter overhead.
Did you see this one?

I meant to add, woo-hoo Teri! Go with your bad self, landing a man 10 years younger!
Do you think we can get Ryan to say, "They're real and they're spectacular!" on the show next week?

Y'know, maybe they figure they'll be plastered all over the media anyway, so why not control the moment?
Just a thought.
I'd h8 to be famous :::shudder:::

Cute couple.Yeah. If it's real, I wish them all the best. I just hope they did this staged beach walk as a way to keep the media horde somewhat at bay. Feed the monster before it eats you, and all that.

Y'know, maybe they figure they'll be plastered all over the media anyway, so why not control the moment? RK, it was staged. Doodlelady, our posts containing the same idea crossed. I hope it was for exactly that reason, to control the news as much as possible.

Ryan looks like he's freezing. It hasn't exactly been beach weather lately.

The smartest contestant will choose to do a song by
the Mavericks. Raul Malo is one of the best vocalists in any genre today, and every one of their songs showcases his talents. Plus, many of their songs have a latin feel behind the country, which is fab for crossover success! : ) Here's a list of songs:
All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down
Dance the Night Away
Here Comes My Baby
I Want To Know
What a Crying Shame
From Hell to Paradise
All That Heaven Would Allow (Springsteen wrote this one. Actually, there are a lot of Springsteen songs that could be considered country. Chris or Taylor --- call me!)
I would also love to see some of our Texas musicians chosen for next week's show. Nancy Griffith's "Outbound Plane" would be GREAT for Mandisa! Cory Morrow or Pat Green (again) for Bucky. The Old 97's have some great alt-country.
Can't wait to see what they all choose!

Holy crap!
Here's the latest AOL poll as of today...(They got it right this week with Lisa going home, last week they had Bucky and the week before they had Melissa so they're at 66%)
1) Kellie
2) Katherine
3) Chris
4) Taylor
5) Mandisa
6) Elliott
7) Paris
8) Ace
9) Bucky
With "country" week coming up, it's possible that Bucky picks up points but Ace and Paris will lose them. (Can you see Paris doing Patsy Cline?? LOL)
This is getting interesting.

You have to figure that if they are dumb enough to fall for her poor-pitiful-ignorant-blonde-county bumpkin act they are dumb enough to threaten someone over a freaking reality show....

This AOL poll is based on what, and internet poll?
I still can't believe Katherine was the second least vote getter last week.

Can you imagine if for whatever reason you stopped in her town and saw all these people with pink ribbons on? I'd just think they were really into breast cancer awareness.
(for those who didn't click the link they are urging Kellie fans to wear pink ribbons)

It is bizarre that they chose pink ribbons, which is clearly identified with breast cancer awareness. Who wouldn't know that? Well, never mind....
