Kathrine sings "From this Moment on" by Shania! That would be cool.

Oh, oh, oh, you were my star now
Oh, oh, oh, you're my favorite scar

Ace sings that to Paula ... as he rubs his scar.

Barf!

I was thinking Toby Keith, too, but either Get Drunk and Be Somebody or Whiskey For My Men, Beer For My Horses.

Yesterday when Pickler was murdering Suds in the Bucket I thought a better choice for her would be Leanne Rimes, Somethings Gotta Give. It would be good for either her or Katherine.

"Angry American" would be a great choice....

That would be an excellent choice for Chris. But I don't know if Idol will let him say "ass" on the air.

K-Fed "Playing with Fire"

by Natalie Finn
Mar 28, 2006, 5:00 PM PT

Who needs a record label when you have, um…yeah.

Well, Kevin Federline has decided that he doesn't need no stinkin' contract. Federline--rapper, dancer, reality star and Mr. Britney Spears--announced Tuesday that his debut album, Playing with Fire, will come out in August.

"My album is sure to set the dance floors across the world on fire!" Federline said in a statement. "The inspiration and meaning behind the title Playing with Fire is self-explanatory."

Dy-no-mite! To get the party started, Federline is planning a promotional club tour to check out fans' reactions to his new tunes, including a new single called "For Real" in which he airs his grievances regarding the media's not so flattering depiction of him. The song is available for listening and contemplation on Federline's personal MySpace site. He has dedicated the track to "all the haters."

In response to "For Real," VH1 is providing K-Fed with a little free publicity this week. Celebrity Eye Candy, a new series premiering Friday, is featuring a rebuttal song to Federline's public lament on VH1.com. The "We're Sorry K-Fed Song" offers up a heartfelt apology:

"Hey K-Fed, we're so sorry for the way we picked on you…Hey K-Fed we're so sorry for creating a career for you."

All to the tune of a Guns N' Roses-style metal ballad.

While that may not have been the response Federline had in mind when he voiced his complaints, the burgeoning hip-hop artist has said in the past that he doesn't care about people not liking him and that he'll let his music speak for itself. (Right, about that…)

"The more I talk, the more I come out and people get to know who I am and what I'm about, it's only going to help," he told MTV News in January. "And if you don't like me, hey, cool. Everything in life is 50-50. I accept the good and the bad and just move on."

Heavy hip-hop hitters such as Usher and Nelly were reportedly on-hand to check out Federline's first promo appearance Saturday at the Vision Club in Atlanta. The rest of the tour dates are still up in the air, but Federline is hoping to touch down in big markets such as New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, rep Marilyn Lopez told MTV News. He won't be performing during the tour, instead handing his records over to deejays for their spinning pleasure.

And about that lack of a record contract? Lopez said that Federline is still "weighing his options."

Maybe figuring that a little peace and goodwill toward men never hurt anyone in the media's eyes, he will be adding charitable outreach to his agenda, a plan he kicked off two weeks ago by donating some of his hair to the organization Locks of Love, which benefits cancer patients. Other activities could include handing out toys at children's hospitals and helping out Hurricane Katrina victims, Lopez said.

Although his self-released single "PopoZão" didn’t exactly light any fires, except for when Inside the Actor's Studio host James Lipton recited the lyrics during an episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Federline has high hopes for round two.

"I'm excited about this album and am looking forward to continuing my promotional club tour in support of it and seeing the first-hand reaction of my fans listening to my songs for the first time," he said.

Meanwhile, the mister and missus are hanging in there, despite rampant rumors--and subsequent denials--about their marital disconnect.

It might be a little tooo country for AI, but Elliot might do a nice "Amarillo By Morning" by George Strait. But then again, if ANYONE sings that song badly I'll be annoyed because I love it.

Oh, what about The Devil Went Down to Georgia for Chris?

You've got to say "@ss" or that song won't work.
He could do Brooks and Dunn too, but I was thinking that Taylor would do them better.

Katherine could sing "Blue" from Leann Rimes. She'd nail that one.

"Katherine ought to do "Crazy" by Patsy Cline" No! That song is the kiss of death.

Only if she doesn't nail it.

But if she does, and I expect she could, it would bring down the house.

Devil Went Down to Georgia is a great idea for Chris! Not to mention it's the only song that's been mentioned that I know! Hybrid episode of South Park on.

That would be a good choice for her. Or Faith Hill.... I was thinking Kellie should pick a Shania song. "Honey I'm Home"??

I don't know ... I like the song, but there's not really any singing in it. It's more of a talking song.

I know--if Chris said "butt" he'd never hear the end of it.

There's a Shania song called, I think, "I Feel Like a Woman". That would be a great one for Katherine, too.

True. Not a lot of range to it. I generally like Chris, but this could be a good opportunity for him to show some versatility.
