I'm responding to a friend who disputes the claim that Democrats are, generally, socialists. Would those of you with better archives and/or memories than mine please provide some quotes of Democrats, preferrably leadership, which support that conclusion?
My favorote is a Hillary Clinton classic:
"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

What would your friend say if you asked HIM for examples of who he thought should be considered socialists, or examples of socialist policies? There is no point arguing about this if you aren't on the same page with definitions (not saying that this is the case here, but that is my experience with these discussions).

Thanks for the link!
The fact that she could utter that statement with a straight face while residing in one of the wealthiest towns on earth (Chappaqua,NY) is a testament to her complete and utter lack of conscience.
Thanks for that quote. That's a classic. :-)
Thank you for the link! Good stuff. :-)
