There is a landmark legal battle of constitutional proportions being fought down in Mississippi. It involves fundamental rights protected by the First and Fourteenth Amendments, not to mention the rights of certain small business owners to satisfy their customers. This week, another court refused to recognize Mississippians' right to find companionship for 29.99 and so a law outlawing the sale of sex toys will stand.

“A person commits the offense of distributing unlawful sexual devices when he knowingly sells, advertises, publishes or exhibits to any person any three-dimensional device designed or marketed as useful primarily for the stimulation of human genital organs or offers to do so or possesses such devices with the intent to do so.”

So the other day I post a "For Sale" ad on Craigslist for my relatives who are selling a TV hutch.

And what's the furniture ad that ends up appearing right below it on the list? A SEX SWING!

And wait! Get all those shower massager heads too. They've been known to cause certain individuals to use up all the hot water.

Another triumph for intrusive, Bible-thumping nanny government.

Guns don't kill people.

Sex toys kill people!

The Far Right on a rampage.

However, I think it was a Democrat who introduced the bill.

The part about this that is troublesome to me is the elderly couple who for years have sold ... erm ... back massagers and ... um ... other things.

Now the grandma and grandpa have been put out of business by the government, with no way to support themselves or buy Christmas and birthday gifts for their little grand kids.

Otherwise, this sounds like a perfectly legitimate use of the full force and might of government ... ban the sex toys.

Well, you see, if someone, somewhere is enjoying life in an un-government approved manner, then that cannot be allowed to happen.

What do these people think this is? A free country?

My thoughts exactly. Let's see illegal aliens, a huge budget deficit, war on terror, abortions, buying a dildo....Let's see what is most important.....winner is: the most important thing for the Mississippians is not being able to buy a dildo. Damn, I guess getting blown up doesn't matter. Don't they know that if we are losers in the War on Terror none of us have to worry about sex toys. This is quite a shame.

Next they'll be selling these kits with a small electric motor, vibrating counter weights, a cylindrical semi-rigid housing unit, and a disclaimer saying "Whatever you do, do not attach electric motor unit A, to weight B. Do not insert assembly in to housing. Do not seat two double AA batteries in the back opening that looks like it's designed to hold them. Do not dim the lights. Do not put on some soft jazz....
