Update:

Tomorrow morning, at 06:00 Mars local time, six of our Shuttles will be released to make excursions to various destinations around the planet.

Each one must have two qualified pilots, and file a proper flight profile. We will monitor your progress, and will be ready to send any help you may require if you get into difficulty.

One is scheduled to go to Olympus Mons, landing as close to the summit as possible.

Another will be cruising through Valles Marineris, on a basically photographic expedition, but it will land in several locations to pick up soil and rock samples.

Others will be dispatched to various requested destinations.

Note that whenever possible, the compressors for each Shuttle should be used to replenish propellant gas.

The excursions may stay out for as long as needed, but it is anticipated that none will be gone longer than two weeks. Allocate your supplies according to your particular ship’s schedule.

You are encouraged to keep a log and to share with us on a periodic basis what wonders you have observed.

The rest of us will still be enjoying the stability and hospitality of our Flying Castle base camp.

Later, after these events are studied, we may expand the program to additional Shuttles and destinations. Eventually, everyone who wishes to should have been able to see the major tourist destinations of Mars.

Hello from Mexico City en route to Cozamel.

I looked around and saw that I am on a bunch of "soon" engagements and no "now" engagements, so I decided to take another vacation.
