Why I Support President Bush and the ZOT!

Posted on 03/19/2006 6:29:28 AM PST by thousand dollar hamburger

I think he has a sincere desire to help everyone. he has even gone out of his way to embrace people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. He does not hold grudges as shown by his willingness to bend over backwards to allow terrorist supporting nations to operate our ports. We need this type of benevolent leader.

Our President is not a cheapskate, as he has opened up our budget to give to anyone who might need anything.

Aliens from all nations are welcomed into our great country without having to deal with mundane bureaucratic State approval. Cutting government red tape -- that's the Bush way!

Yes, our Prseident even realizes that occupying as many countries around the world as possible is the best way to spread American ideals.

We are truly lucky to have this great man. I suggest that at 10:00 AM EST, we all stand up in unison and shout -- HOORAY FOR BUSH!!!

Well, then, I must still be on the right track, no?

A little bit for me too.

Just back from a long day at the hospital. The goodwife had a bit of minor surgery today and would have come home this afternoon but for a usually minor condition that in this case they said they wanted her to stay overnight. So she comes home tomorrow.

I prepared for it by packing my laptop (the hospital has free WiFi Internet access) and a book (and my MP3 player -- one cannot be too prepared!), but spent most of my time instead talking with some friends who came to lend support.

Of course! In times of confusion, ask yourself this question:

What would Cindy Sheehan, Jesse Jackson, Ted Kennedy, or Cynthia McKinney do?

Then don't do that.

"I would like to politely ask you to leave this thread."

Why? Because you disagree with me?

No thanks. The British have been terrorists to the Irish for years. It all depends on your perspective. If you don't like an alternative opinion, YOU are on the wrong website.

Prayers sent for your wife. I hope she has a full recovery.

I'm still trying to get used to the time change, so I'm tired a lot. I might turn in early (or at least try to) tonight.

You misunderstand.

You were not invited to leave the website, you were invited to leave the thread.

This is not a thread for acrimony. It is a thread for amusement, bemusement, and bewilderment, but not acrimony.

If you can be ironic, clever, pithy, and considerate ... (and you can, I've read your posts) ... then you will be welcome.

But keep in mind, if you did not enjoy being called a troll, (which you are not), then perhaps it would have been better if you had not called someone else, "big talker", n'est-ce pas?

Thanks. She's doing pretty well already. The surgeon warns of possible incidents of pain (as a result of the surgery) the next three days, but already the pain the surgery was to cure is gone.

There's an interesting situation I'm going to be watching. My wife's nurse this afternoon is of our faith but is an immigrant from a far foreign land, and she has not managed to hook up with a church here (there may be good reasons for that). She met our rector this evening when he came to visit my wife, and received an invitation to visit us (and the URL of our website). She's quiet but I sense a sweet spirit. I hope she comes.

I understand.

He was slaming the Wolfe Tones, who I know and respect.

Not exactly a good example of amusement.

It's rude to ask someone to leave because you disagree with them. It's not your thread. Comprenez vous?

Just in and out. I'm havin' major computer issues.

Trying to troubleshoot my CD and USB support. Upgraded to Linux kernel 2.6.16, installed ivman, and sliced the /etc/fstab up nicely. Now I have to use an external CD-RW (the internal one in the tower is fried--won't work in either Linux or Windows), and no support for the USB stick.

Moral of today's little story: Don't upgrade the kernel in Suse 10.0!!

Okay... this isn't the War Room. But it is the Undead Thread -- and this is not the place for any acrimonies from outside. Argue if you want about the desirable size of the plesiosaur population in the moat and how that affects the swimmers amongst us, the quality of "Poblachd Saorsa" (the finest whisky to be found on FreeRepublic), what on earth has happened to Stag with his unsurpassed grand entries, and the actual degree of influence wielded by The Orbs of Power on the male denizens of the thread...

...but what doesn't stem from things here isn't argued here.
A little decorum.
Please.

Me too. We went through just two or three months of "isolation" until we found our unexpected home (of some 23 years now). She's had years of isolation -- I cannot even imagine it.

I still haven't found a church in my area, and it's been almost 3 years.
