Why I Support President Bush and the ZOT!

I think he has a sincere desire to help everyone. he has even gone out of his way to embrace people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. He does not hold grudges as shown by his willingness to bend over backwards to allow terrorist supporting nations to operate our ports. We need this type of benevolent leader.
Our President is not a cheapskate, as he has opened up our budget to give to anyone who might need anything.
Aliens from all nations are welcomed into our great country without having to deal with mundane bureaucratic State approval. Cutting government red tape -- that's the Bush way!
Yes, our Prseident even realizes that occupying as many countries around the world as possible is the best way to spread American ideals.
We are truly lucky to have this great man. I suggest that at 10:00 AM EST, we all stand up in unison and shout -- HOORAY FOR BUSH!!!

Probably because it's saturated the market, and it just appears easier to some people.
My family used it for a long time, one of the reasons being that they would knock down the price whenever we threatened to cancel our service.

AOL = Always Off Line.
It will ruin your hard drive, and is insidious. It's the only "asset" Time-Warner has that constantly loses money.
I have a friend that collects the AOL CD's and makes "art" images out of them. I saw someone else that used them for tree decorations in their yard at Christmas.

I can understand people using it ten years ago--but for people to continue to use AOL and AIM despite the myriads of alternatives (many of which have costs equal to or less than AOL) readily available to most of America.
IMO, such people are asking for trouble. I've seen computers flooded with useless malware--and about 90% of the time, I can pin it to usage/misusage of either Idiot Exploiter or AIM.

I have a friend in San Antonio who has been using AOL since she got her computer. She is ALWAYS having trouble with it. She tried to delete it a few years ago, and it messed up her hard drive big time. She said she didn't want to use the recovery disks because she would lose her files.
Guess what? By the time AOL "fixed" the problem, the files were so corrupted they had to be deleted, anyway. It's SO not people-friendly!

IIRC, AOL doesn't currently offer anything that falls under an OSI-certified license.
For a "copyleftist" to use IM, they'd be using Gaim (which can work with the AIM protocol), which is licensed under the GNU GPL.
