Why I Support President Bush and the ZOT!
Posted on 03/19/2006 6:29:28 AM PST by thousand dollar hamburger
I think he has a sincere desire to help everyone. he has even gone out of his way to embrace people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. He does not hold grudges as shown by his willingness to bend over backwards to allow terrorist supporting nations to operate our ports. We need this type of benevolent leader.
Our President is not a cheapskate, as he has opened up our budget to give to anyone who might need anything.
Aliens from all nations are welcomed into our great country without having to deal with mundane bureaucratic State approval. Cutting government red tape -- that's the Bush way!
Yes, our Prseident even realizes that occupying as many countries around the world as possible is the best way to spread American ideals.
We are truly lucky to have this great man. I suggest that at 10:00 AM EST, we all stand up in unison and shout -- HOORAY FOR BUSH!!!

In Las Vegas, Phoenix and Tucson, you get a break on your water bills if you don't plant grass. That's why they use "low maintenance" yards of red, white or black gravel and lots of succulents.
I would hate to have grass to tend, even though I love the way nice lawns look.

Hey! Sorry it took me so long to respond. My neighbor came over with his pugs. The guy thinks I'm a geek. I try to tell him I'm still learning, but he comes to me with his computer problems.
*sigh*

Planting them in raised beds or raised rows should keep them drier.
To insure they get enough water, pick up a soaker hose, (and don't overwater.)
You can even use a siphon system to make sure you use the correct amount of water. Using a small barrel or watering can, elevate it on a stool or garden chair, and start the syphon into the soaker hose. By the time it's empty, you will have watered your tomatoes the measurable amount you wanted.

Hey, TC!
When I was a kid, we had to drive 20 miles to the nearest church, and I think the nearest cathedral was in Salt Lake City.
Las Vegas has a "new" cathedral, which says a lot for it's growth. Las Vegas is the only city in the country that gets two phonebooks a year, because of it's rapid growth. It paves 50+ miles of new streets every month.

Planting them in raised beds or raised rows should keep them drier. That's probably my best bet.
Can you make those out of a few 2x4's? Would that last one season?

Nothing in the world tastes as great as fresh picked tomatoes. I just can't pick them...I'm allergic to the plant.

The tomato plant is very strongly scented, and I can smell it on my skin for quite a while after I've touched it......I can see why people may have been suspicious of it many years ago.

You should be growing small tree fruits. Apricots, plums, figs, that sort of thing.
You won't have to walk far, and the harvest would be easy pickin's.
You should be able to containerize some of the smaller trees.

When I learned how to navigate through a computer, it was for a contained program the county used. I didn't use the 'net until 2000. My sister was my Inhouse Geek, and I just decided when I learned what to do, I would pass it along. I still have my notebooks from then...I have a total of three, now, and I use them fairly often. I still have to go through the steps myself before I can tell anyone else what to do...:o|

If I pick a tomato and touch any part of the plant, even very slightly, my arms will break out in a rash. And I have to wash my hands immediately, because if I touch any other part of my body, it will break out. So I usually let other people pick the tomatoes. :o]
