Why I Support President Bush and the ZOT!

Posted on 03/19/2006 6:29:28 AM PST by thousand dollar hamburger

I think he has a sincere desire to help everyone. he has even gone out of his way to embrace people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. He does not hold grudges as shown by his willingness to bend over backwards to allow terrorist supporting nations to operate our ports. We need this type of benevolent leader.

Our President is not a cheapskate, as he has opened up our budget to give to anyone who might need anything.

Aliens from all nations are welcomed into our great country without having to deal with mundane bureaucratic State approval. Cutting government red tape -- that's the Bush way!

Yes, our Prseident even realizes that occupying as many countries around the world as possible is the best way to spread American ideals.

We are truly lucky to have this great man. I suggest that at 10:00 AM EST, we all stand up in unison and shout -- HOORAY FOR BUSH!!!

Instead of grass, I have sheep sorrel, plantain, poison ivy, locust roots, maple saplings, dandelions, bluebells, day lilies, crabgrass, wild strawberries, ferns, and mushrooms.

Who needs grass? Or has room for it?

We have a small building for a parish of about 1,100 families, some families with as many as 10 members (that would be mine :-). This area does not have a lot of Catholics as a percentage of the population, but at least in the city and suburbs, the diocese has gone for fewer, larger parishes, rather than many smaller ones. More efficient use of priests, and it reflects the fact that the "automobile society" was established here before the Church.

Um, it might be my beer can, but I did not undress.

Did you hurt yourself?

We rake in the spring too.

Not all the leaves actually fall before the snow, especially oak.

The there are the pine needles that fall through out the winter....

That sounds like my land....plantains, poison ivy, sumac, horseradish, dandelions, wild roses, wild lilacs, day lillies, ferns, and Hosta.

I was hoping to plant some tomatoes this year, but alas, a week Monday we go back to working 6 days/week, until the end of July.
Not much time to tend tomatoes.

Tomatoes don't need a lot of tending. It sounds as though your soil would support them okay.

Build up some rows for them, maybe covering the rows with hoops and plastic while early in the season.

Even one day a week of tending, or every other week would give you an abundant crop of tomatoes, and nothing beats the taste of tomatoes fresh from your own garden.

By the way, for those inclined to bemoan the cost of increasing fuel and utility prices, and say, "What next?" -- I have the answer. Food is next.

Sometime in the next few years, food is going to spike in price the way oil, gasoline, and electricity have gone up.

So hunt up your rake, hoe and shovel, and start preparing your garden now. Even if all you have is a balcony, you can raise some of your own food.

Bob, what is Mars' gravity as a fraction of Earth's?

The problem is in keeping them watered evenly.
We can go from 2 weeks at 90F, and dry, to 3 strait days of rain, in June and July.
They usually end up cracking on me.

I may try again. I know what you mean about the taste!
