Why I Support President Bush and the ZOT!
Posted on 03/19/2006 6:29:28 AM PST by thousand dollar hamburger
I think he has a sincere desire to help everyone. he has even gone out of his way to embrace people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. He does not hold grudges as shown by his willingness to bend over backwards to allow terrorist supporting nations to operate our ports. We need this type of benevolent leader.
Our President is not a cheapskate, as he has opened up our budget to give to anyone who might need anything.
Aliens from all nations are welcomed into our great country without having to deal with mundane bureaucratic State approval. Cutting government red tape -- that's the Bush way!
Yes, our Prseident even realizes that occupying as many countries around the world as possible is the best way to spread American ideals.
We are truly lucky to have this great man. I suggest that at 10:00 AM EST, we all stand up in unison and shout -- HOORAY FOR BUSH!!!

I believe we have 12 moderators, IIRC.
Conservatives are always more efficient than liberals.
Fresh urine can be used as an antiseptic.
I don't think the same could be said of liberals.
That ends this segment of proclamations from Fanfan.
Tune in later tonight, for.....*garbled*

Dang... for a minute there I thought that last bit said "gargled"...
Considering the topic of conversation, I was a bit worried...;-)

It isn't all meat. I try and get as many varied sources of protein as possible. Helps keep my liver/kidneys from getting cranky with me. Dairy sources are good, as a various types of nuts. Peanuts are a big fave of mine. Kinda fatty though.
I try and get my biggest shots of protein right after a workout and for dinner. Gives the body tiem to work with it while either still hot from a workout, or over night.

It could be all meat for me, and I wouldn't mind.
I was a vegetarian for two years, maybe I'm making up for it.

I'm still nominally an omnivore. Just too many fruits and veggies I like to not include them. Not enough to cut out everything else though. I just can't wrap my head around that being healthy.
I saw that Penn and Teller Bullsh*t show on Health Crazes. They had some "whole foods" nutballs on there. Not a single one looked healthy, nor sounded remotely sane.

I don't think the same could be said of liberals. Ah yes, definitely the better option!!

I cook with beans a lot, but my husband gets grumpy if we don't have meat practically every day.

I would as well. Beans are one thing, but at best they are a side dish or an ingredient.

My son is vegetarian, but he won't eat many veggis.
Do you have any good recipes?

He's training for a marathon, and eating everything but his shoes and the gerbil. It makes it difficult for those of us who are trying to lose weight!

What kind of meat do you enjoy the most?
Or, eat the most often?
We eat chicken, beef, a bit of pork, turkey, fish or shell fish once in a while.

For vegan stuff? Nothing that doesn't contain meat. Of course, chopped chicken in a butter garlic sauce with steamed veggies (brocolli/carrots/pea pods) tossed over pasta is good. A bit of Mrs. Dash and some grated parmesean round it out. Chop the chicken right and it'll look like tofu chunks.

Chicken is our most common meat, followed by ground beef. My husband also likes pork (roast, chops), but that's not as popular with the rest of the eaters.

He should be carb loading then. LOTs of carrots, brocolli, beans, peas, lettuce, spinach, sprouts, ect... Pasta and potatos are good to. Lots of long duration carbs in those starches.
However, make sure he gets protein sources as well. Training stresses muscle. Muscle requires protein to rebuild.
