Why I Support President Bush and the ZOT!
Posted on 03/19/2006 6:29:28 AM PST by thousand dollar hamburger
I think he has a sincere desire to help everyone. he has even gone out of his way to embrace people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. He does not hold grudges as shown by his willingness to bend over backwards to allow terrorist supporting nations to operate our ports. We need this type of benevolent leader.
Our President is not a cheapskate, as he has opened up our budget to give to anyone who might need anything.
Aliens from all nations are welcomed into our great country without having to deal with mundane bureaucratic State approval. Cutting government red tape -- that's the Bush way!
Yes, our Prseident even realizes that occupying as many countries around the world as possible is the best way to spread American ideals.
We are truly lucky to have this great man. I suggest that at 10:00 AM EST, we all stand up in unison and shout -- HOORAY FOR BUSH!!!

An ultralight aircraft might work. You'd need a lot of wing surface.
We'll be here long enough for these things to be worth doing, but the real way to get around will be in one of our shuttles. Nuclear power, and compressed Martian atmosphere for propulsion gases, and you're all set.
And we have two hundred of them. You could carry your vehicles and aircraft along.

They are converted to fuel cell, so don't expect V8 supercharged power out of them. The tires are varients of the metal wheels on the Spirit/Opportunity Rovers.
Which, BTW... are still up here somewhere. Still roaming around doing sciency stuff. Maybe if we have a nice warm Martian summer (68F), we can go moon 'em. ;-)

"Maybe if we have a nice warm Martian summer (68F), we can go moon 'em." Just make darn sure you don't run over the little buggers!
Our Habs A and B are still in high orbit. You could relay signals through them. I didn't think to put a repeater/transponder on one of the moons, but I guess we could have somebody up there do it. Trouble is, they have no way to replenish propulsion gas.
We could combine the mission with a scoop operation, and see how well we can pull in atmosphere from orbit. I guess we need a daring pilot from A or B.

I have a good imagination...I can pretend to use a V8 supercharger...I know how to say "vrooom! vroooom!" And I can even "ERK!" the brakes!
I was wondering if we'd have a chance to see any of the rovers. Can you imagine NASA when one of the rovers send back a photo of the Castle? Or even one of the vehicles! LOL!

If we can find them, we should lend a hand.
One of them has a flat tire.
I have some chores to do. I'll be back in a couple of hours.

It's caused by spores in the soil that are exposed during construction. Yuck. Does it last all summer then?

It lasts until you build up enough antibodies to get it controlled. Some people can die from it and some never know they've had it, but it afftects almost everyone who lives here for any length of time.
My son suffered the better part of 18 months with it, and for years after I left here, I would get sleepy when the wind blew. Now, it seems to only bother me when the wind blows (the local news channels always have cautionary advice for the Valley Fever sufferers during windy weather) but in addition to the sleepiness, I cough a lot.

Looks like Opportunity is getting an arthritic shoulder joint as well.
They were supposed to last three months. Going on what? 782 and 811 Martian "solar" days respectively. Wowsers...

I think they tried that in over Siberia - a large mirror in orbit, it wasn't even as bright as the Moon, but it did illuminate the ground.
