There has been plenty of speculation on the way the fabulous Katie Holmes is to give birth to her baby. The little one could come at any moment and it appears that Tom Cruise and Katie are already battling over the baby.
No - they are not battling over how the baby will be born, but what happens if the pair split after the little one emerges. The rub reportedly is the baby's religion - Catholicism or Scientology?
Life & Style Magazine details in this week's report that Katie is miserable and if there is a split - as that magazine has predicted - Toms demanding sole custody of their child-to-be. That reportedly left Katie in tears.
Normally, a custody battle wouldnt start until after a childs birth. But nothings normal when it comes to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Multiple insiders say Tom recently approached Katie with a shocking request: Give him sole custody of their baby, whos due as soon as April. Katie went absolutely nuts and stormed off in tears, says one insider.
Since Tom, 43, went so far as to ask Katie, 27, to sign papers granting him custody, her dad, Martin Holmes, a Toledo, Ohio, divorce attorney, promptly became involved. Martin called Tom, the insider says, and accused him of treating his daughter like dirt. If you dont stop, there will be hell to pay, Martin warned him.
Cue the rep: Toms rep denies the story.
There are many more details in the print article, but the speculated reason is straight out of South Park. Tom wants the baby to be raised as a Scientologist and not a Catholic.
It's tough to see Katie's dad allowing that to happen without a fight.
Oh My God!
That is utterly fantastic!
I love the photos.
Heading out to work on a Saturday (becoming increasingly common) and a bit miserable about it.
Pics will make it go alot better as I laugh to myself at my desk all day.
But with Scientology you get some wierd ideas about not talking to the baby in order not to disturb him/her.
Is there anything Scientific about Scientology? Maybe they could just agree that the kid will be a Catholic Scientist.

You think Tom Cruise is an excellent actor, and beyond looks and money you don't think how a child is raised matters. Noted. Any other pearls you want to unburden yourself of?
I'm wondering how someone who considers themself Catholic ends up shacked up with Tom Cruise. If Katie is concerned about Catholic values, its a long time in coming.
I was thinking more like Michael Jackson and his strange "fatherhood".
Somebody ought to step in and do an intervention for that poor girl. Stupid is as stupid does, but Katie Holmes shouldn't have to pay for this stupidity by losing her child.
Tom Cruise is insane, and I'd bet my eye teeth that his career will officially be in the toilet after the release of MI3.
It is a cumulative effect. Tom fired the manager who kept his sick ways in the closet for years, and now we can all see the Scientology psychosis that completely controls him.
I feel no sympathy for him, but I really do hope that someone helps Katie Holmes and her baby.
One word - CULT...no different than Jones...the cool-aid will come.
Good thing her dad is an attorney.
The rub reportedly is the baby's religion - Catholicism or Scientology?
Let's see, L. Ron Hubbard or Jesus the Christ? Hey, it looks like an easy decision to me, but then again I'm not rich and crazy.

LOL
Nice of you to ask.
Hmmm. Well yes. I think that most of Hollywood's outrage at Cruise comes from his divorce from Kidman, who has replaced Liza Minnelli, who previously had replaced Elizabeth Taylor as Official Darling of the Queers.

Surely you've heard L Ron Hubbard's most famous quote - "If you want to get rich start a religion". And Hubbard dabbled in drugs and black magic before he concocted Scientology

The Crusades weren't about forcing anybody into religious conversion. If you read the documents of the time, this formed 0% of the motivation.
On November 17th 1095, Pope Urban II gave an important speech at the end of a church council in Clermont, France, calling for the nobility of Western Europe to assist their Eastern brothers in a Crusade to liberate the Holy Lands from the Muslim Turks, who were rapidly encroaching on the Byzantine Empire.
The Turks had already overrun most of the Byzantine Empire and were within striking distance of the capital, Constantinople. He also called for the liberation of Jerusalem, the most sacred of places in Christendom.
There was no interest in converting Muslims by force. The idea was defensive: to roll back an invasion.
I think Judy Garland is supposed to be in there somewhere too.
Our cousin is very good friends with a special effect guy in Hollywood. He did "The Aviator"...anyway, he says that the dirt on Tom is, he is gay (no shock there). He marries a woman and agrees to a 10 year marriage. They will look beside him, talk about how great their marriage is and he will do whatever it takes to get their movie career going very well. The problem is that Nicole thought that things were going well enough for him to stay, had gotten pregnant (miscarried after they separated) and thought Tom would stay. He dumped her for the 10 year anniversary, they even battled over the exact date because CA law is a lot nicer to women after 10 years of marriage. Nicole did have a problem with the scientology, btw.
I think he really wooed Katie, and got her away from her family, friends, etc and before she knew what exactly happened, she was in too deep. I actually feel a bit of sympathy for her...
