Here's an update from Mrs. Ron Moore at the convention (copied from the SciFi forums):
Okay guys.
I thought I said No Parties while I was gone. Look at this place!
Just checking in from the convention. We walked into the hotel, and I have never heard anything like it. There had to be 300 (mainly guys) in the lobby. All talking at once. It was such a bizzare sound, like a beehive. They were all partying for the start of the convention.
There's a LOT of money in this place. A Lot of money. I guess I had no idea, how huge this is. They expect 12,000 people.
We dumped our bags, jumped in the car, and headed for our favorite Japanese restaraunt on the planet. 45 minutes later, exctasy.
It's always nice to be home, I grew up in the Bay Area, so we are here as often as possible.
Ron gives his speech today, I will stick around to hear it, and then abandon him to geekdom, and head out to visit friends.

The margaritas are fine, but try to find something interesting to talk about so I have something to read when I check in. What the hell happened to all of the grownups? Raymond, Nikon? you guys out there?
