I shot one of those big .500 Smiths at a local indoor range. A Smith rep comes around a few times a year and brings one of every gun they sell. For a few dollars each you can shoot any of them. The .500 was a few times more expensive to shoot than the others.
It was fun and I did well with it. You have to be careful it doesn't hit you in the head on recoil.
Did it have a brake on it? I know they're pricey to shoot, but it'd be fun to have b/c it is what it is. That, and if I make it up North, be good grizzly back-up too.
Isn't it ~$5/shot?
