My best dish is probably white creamed chicken with paprika, a Hungarian dish called Chicken Papirkosh.
Brown eight pieces of chicken in a frying pan. The pieces of chicken should be about as big as what you would get at KFC.
Add a quarter stick of butter to the chicken and a cup of Half & Half creamer and dice up a small onion and add that too. Sprinkle with paprika and let simmer until it cooks down some and the white gravy starts getting thick.
Serve with biscuits and mashed potatoes. Some like to put the white gravy on the biscuits, but I put the gravy on the chicken and mashed potatoes and butter my biscuits.
It tastes great and I haven't had any for a while.

Well, I am Austro-Hungarian on my father's side and we have stuffed cabbage all the time. We call them "Halubki". You have to cook them up with ground beef, a little sausage and rice for the filling.
You also put some kolbasi in with the tomato-type sauce you cook it in for flavor.
Eat the halubki and the kolbasi together with some fresh buttered bread for a real treat.
Is that kind of like what you are talking about?
