In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
crapulous \KRAP-yuh-lus\, adjective
1. Suffering the effects of, or derived from, or suggestive of gross intemperance, especially in drinking; as, a crapulous stomach.
2. Marked by gross intemperance, especially in drinking; as, a crapulous old reprobate.
Example sentence:

-- Stephen McKenna, Sonia
Etymology: Crapulous is from Late Latin crapulosus, from Latin crapula, from Greek kraipale, drunkenness and its consequences, nausea, sickness, and headache.
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

J. FrankenKerry and Count Crapula of Mashachusetts
The corpulent, crapulous, oxygen thief that is Ted Kennedy, continues to leave his snail trail wherever he goes..
A $10,000 prize? I don't even know whose playing. LOL!
Democrats make me feel crapulous.
LOL, everyone is a poet today. Today is my Ava day, she is napping. Hubby is home from work STILL this week. The poor baby has just doubled his sick time for his lifetime. He is NEVER sick. What a shock he has had - that he is human and vulnerable to illness. Maybe next week I will have a normal week.
Go Suns! (tonight when they play the Spurs that is)
Crapula? Wasn't that the working title of "Dracula: Dead and loving it" ?
good grief, lurch suntans...........look at the contrast with the ruddy rotund one. LOL
Kerry: What can we hang on President Bush today?
Kennedy: Shush. I'm thinking about drinking.
Kerry: What's taking you so long? Terese has already had her white raisins and gin for breakfast.
I still have a day and a half on antibiotics that cause crapulousness.
Hope your hubs feels better. It's terrible never to get ill, and then get quite ill. Pedialyte does wonders, though.
SG is going to be angry with you! LOL!
I noticed that abnormality, too.
Count Crapula sounds about right, Dutch.
Can't wait for your poesy.
GM slip! I'll try my best. Gotta blow the cobwebs out first.;)
