>>someone ping Laura Ingraham.

The lyrics were read on her show the other day and she said they stole the title of her book. Is country radio going to play this (not sure if they've moved their sound closer to rock)? I know after awhile country stations started playing their music again (post-boycott), past hits like "Travelin'
Soldier" and "Cowboy Take Me Away"

From radio-info.com's country board:

"Jay F" writes: "I just read on the Drudge Report that the new Dixie Chicks CD will contain a hardcore anti-Bush song. Will country radio play the new Dixie Chicks product? My guess is that in a competitive situation, many stations will play it safe and boycott the Chicks, their negative scores are just too high.

"Even if Bush's poll numbers are down, many of his remaining supporters are country music fans. Besides, even the country listeners who dislike Bush have an even greater dislike for entertainers who feel the need to preach their politcal opinions."

I don't know about the rest of the country, but Kansas City's 2 big country stations 94.1 and 104.3 still don't play any Dixie Chicks. 106.5 and 103.9 (I think these are rural country stations) don't play them either.

I don't know what these stations are going to do with the new song, but I can't imagine it will come across too well. Particularly since it is a "FU" song to anyone who didn't care for their actions.

The poll on my local station's site is frozen, so I guess it may be broken at 61% against playing them again and 39% for.
