Watch out, I've got rolling eyes registered as deadly weapons!
Hmmm. Who would have made him quit? I wonder who...
Could it be...
THETAN????
Do you have Eveningstar's SP list still? Did we ever find out what happened to ES?
Yes it was. And don't forget Sea-Man. :giggle:
Frankly, Hayes quitting doesn't surprize me. I figured that he would after seeing the $cientology episode. And I definitely agree with Matt on this...Hayes is being a hypocrite. But since Chef hasn't really been featured much in recent seasons, I don't see them having a difficult time just dropping the character.
"Um, did you see their movie???? "
Their treatment of Sadam is classic - the devil/Sadam bits will go down in comic history.
Donohue knocks it out of the park here, twice.
Well done.
Unlike the author, I guess I see Stone's point. Its not that he's really making some PC bigotry claim, its a matter of pointing out the inconsistency in Hayes' stance.
It is funny how they portray Jesus and Moses as underappriciated superheros.
Hayes became offended 4 months after the fact, in a manner reminiscent of the muslums becoming enraged at the cartoons. I think either Lord Wotan or one of the higher ups in the Scientology structure has come down on him like a box o' bricks.
Excuse me, that's Lord Xenu, I was mistaken.
Matt and Trey are creative geniuses.
Their expression of their genius makes me uncomfortable often (being a 50-something woman with 14 years of Catholic School behind me lol), but they are geniuses nonetheless.
I tend to watch *portions* of their shows, heavily edited by my 4 children. ;-) Kind of reverse PG-13 versions.

" wonder if Donhue realizes that Jesus is one of the few characters SP actually treats with any respect."
That's the way I see it too. I think the subtle message there is that Jesus really is "available", but no one (including self proclaimed christians) really pay any attention to what he has to say.
Victim child!
Agree! I remember at the end of the first SP Christmas episode, after the townsfolk had been fighting over "offensive" Christmas things, the last shot after the credits is Jesus sitting by himself in front of a birthday cake singing "Happy Birthday to Me"; indicating that people forgot the real reason we celebrate Christmas.
I don't see what's sacred in Scientology. As far as I know, they don't believe in any Supreme being, other than Thetans that are, at best, Superior (to us) beings. (In their opinion--which they are entitled to)
There is a big difference between Spirituality and Spiritualism. I consider Scientology to be the latter, (and I am entitled to MY opionion).
BTW I've tried to watch South Park, but can't understand more than 10% of what comes out of the character's mouths. Don't know if it's the local channel's sound delivery, or my high frequency hearing loss that's the problem.
Well, obviously he should get wacked by Kenny.
"Since you are WRONG, I hope you are as energetic with your correction?"

Yes indeed.
I shall remove "cowardly" from my remark, admit they do make fun of Islam. So my statement is reduced to:
Effin Slimeballs.
That is mostly for their disgustingly crude ridicule of Christianity....and their crude humor in general. They need to grow up and get out of the toilet. I won't hold my breath for that either...:)
