Time for a new FreeRepublic folding@home thread.
Our FreeRepublic team of 300+ members comprised primarily of Free Republic members in good standing have banded together to donate their excess CPU cycles to a worthy cause. Via distributed computing, millions of computers around the world, contribute directly to scientific research, in the quest for a greater understanding of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Cancer, and Mad Cow (BSE).
Currently, the team is in 164th place (with 992 CPUs - nearly 19,000 completed Work Units and 2,982,241 points)
This is an entirely voluntary program, and if you want to learn more, please see the links posted below (or read one of the previous 8 folding threads)

This is an old thread but, it was all I could find. Could you please ping me to the new one.
My computer went out and I had to get another one, this one has a dual core processor. I saved all my info on a thumb drive, I think it's called, but I can't retrieve my saved stuff. If you'll notice, I haven't completed a WU for quiet sometime. My old computer kept shutting down and it would keep sending me the same WU packet, but, it never completed one.
With a dual core procerror, will I be able to fold an extra wu?
My internet connection phone line has been out and they're still working on my line. I have been without internet for nearly a week. I would like to start back up on my folding.
