Beautiful, but deadly animals. Too bad someone can't cull some food from over populated areas, and ship them over there.
Or shoot some of the wolves.
Alaska has a similar problem.
Many native Alaskans depend on moose to feed their families. It is not about what might end up over the fireplace.
It is about what should end up on the dining table.
Too many wolves killing too few moose.
This is easy. Shoot some danged wolves. What we are witnessing is a normal long term cycle between Predator and Prey. I would say that the wolves have been overpopulated for quite a while to knock down the moose herd so quickly.
Early pioneers knew what they were doing by destroying every wolf they came across. They had enough of being intimidated by wolves (and those that used this to their advantage) in the old country.
There is no sense in shipping food over to the wolves. This is a normal occurrence between predator - prey populations in the wild. There will be a natural culling within the wolf population to the point where the moose to wolf ratio will be balanced again.
I can think of a few thousand libs and Dems that would do.
