Alaska has a similar problem.

Many native Alaskans depend on moose to feed their families. It is not about what might end up over the fireplace.

It is about what should end up on the dining table.

Too many wolves killing too few moose.

"Yeah, some of the wolves could be shot."

No point really as nature will take it's course and further strengthen the packs.

Are wolves edible? Native Alaskans get their share of crap from PETA for traditional hunting. Wasn't PETA responsible for banning wolf hunting in the first place?

Alaska has a similar problem.

But we have a better solution.

The Board of Game may expand predator control, giving snowmachiners the chance to pursue and shoot wolves just a quick drive from Wasilla or Big Lake.

Fresh off an Alaska Supreme Court victory in the continuing fight over wolf control, the board will look at several proposals to expand aerial wolf kills, liberalize the sale of bear hides and allow snowmachiners to hunt wolves in new areas.
