Hey check out this dumb dope. Man caught with meth at courthouse
A man who was at the Lincoln County Courthouse last week to appear in court on a drug charge was arrested on a new drug charge after he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Jack Burl Kriz, 38, of Newport was scheduled to appear for trial in Lincoln County Circuit Court on Thursday.
As Kriz entered the courtroom with his attorney, he removed a cap from his head, and when he did so, a small, clear plastic bag fell from his hat onto the floor.
Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Miller happened to be sitting on a bench in the hallway, waiting to testify in court, and the deputy noticed the bag fall from Kriz's cap.
Miller recovered the bag and found that it contained a white, crystal substance. That substance tested positive for meth.
At the conclusion of his trial on Thursday, Kriz was found guilty of possessing meth - the charge for which he was in court that day.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on that conviction today (Wednesday).
But then after his trial, Kriz was arrested on a new charge of possession of meth, and he was lodged in the Lincoln County Jail.

I knew a guy (from high school) who had a similar incident with marijuana. I forget why he was in court to begin with, but he had decided to toke up before going in front of the judge. The judge ordered him to remove his hat, and when he did, there was a roach stuck to his forehead. Why he put it in his hat, I don't know. If I recall correctly, he didn't get in much trouble over it, but a couple of years later the genius got himself sent to prison for distributing ecstasy.

Around Chicago they enforce scofflaws from persons banned from driving by waiting outside the courthouse and waiting for them to enter their cars, lol!
