I guess these ignorant fools have decided bad publicity is better than none at all. After Springsteen "invited" them to Rock 'n Roll (as if he controlled the venue) they've finally decided to come aboard...almost three years later. Of course the "Boss's" career is back to none existent so hopefully these twits will experience the same end.

Funny, but that's exactly how I feel about the Dixie Chicks.

Ugh.. this is such an OLD issue. They should just go away. We should help in that goal by ignoring them.

The Dixie Who?? I'm looking for that "fighting bush," sounds funky.

Agreed - no more posts on them, but I've got to hope this doesn't sell many albums.

Reminds me of the commercial about the 2 Neanderthals...we had no idea you were still around, Dixichicks.

"That led to Maines sobbing during an apologetic interview on US TV. But the feisty singer remains defiant and has penned new tune NOT READY TO MAKE NICE, which addresses the controversy surrounding her concert comments"
So she was briefly apologetic when she thought she could still win back fans, i.e. dollars for CD/record sales, but now that's over with and she's back to same old Natalie?? I haven't followed these twits at all and don't know about their music anyway, but I have to say that she sounds like the worst kind of quivering hypocrite..... at least some left-wing twits are sincere and consistent about what they really believe when they give the American public the bird..... I'd like to know more about her "apologetic" interview - did anyone here see it?? Was she actually apologetic about anything or was it just the usual "I'm sorry if anyone misinterpreted my noble intent" that we get from public figures who have been caught in an embarrassing situation?

The point of posting this is to let people know these twerps are back on the prowl and radio stations are testing the waters by playing their stuff again. When people know that, they call and voila! the Dixie Chick careers die again. and that helps ensure they don't sell many albums.
Sometimes ignoring the problem isn't the best solution.

I thought that was their new nickname.

Why does Natalie think anyone cares at this point? Does anyone care? In the immortal words of Babs Boxer, Natalie "needs to moveon.org."
Also, great way to rehabilitate your career, Nat. Tell your fans you are still mad at them and don't forgive them for responding negatively to your dumb remarks. Nice PR move.

I'd like to know more about her "apologetic" interview - did anyone here see it?? I did and it was laughable. In fact the fat one was joined by the blond one and the cross-eyed one and what was supposed to be an apology quickly deteriorated into an indignant rant regarding free speech, right to work, and "this doesn't have anything to do with our music". They clearly couldn't help themselves and showed that their "apology" was disingenuous at best.
In short, they did themselves no favors and shortly after that Springsteen took it upon themselves to announce that the Rock 'n Roll world was open to them.

The Dixie Chicks are one of the few examples of a raving liberal lunatic actually paying the price for alienating most of their potential audience.
These girls were absolutely huge until Natalie shot her mouth off. I've never seen an instant music industry crash and burn like the Dixie Chicks - ever. I hope she enjoyed her cheap shot on Bush it cost her at least $100 Million in future earnings.
If I were the other two - I'd fire her and start over again as a duo; and make it a policy to talk about music only.
Then, and only then would the remaining DC's have any shot at restoring even 1/10 of their former career.

>> But the feisty singer remains defiant and has penned new tune NOT READY TO MAKE NICE, which addresses the controversy surrounding her concert comments.<<
What a bunch of self-important foolishness. Three years later she's whining to everybody about how her "wounds" haven't healed, like anybody cares.
She should call it NOT READY TO MAKE MONEY.
The Dixie Chicks are obscure now, and will remain so from now on. This stale, over-with "controversy" finished them off, and now they are desperately clinging to it as the one "gimmick" that will resuscitate their careers? What a laugh.
Sorry, Chicks, you blew it and you are a LONG TIME GONE.
