Would you ping me for these?

Congrats on your progress, BTW!

I wanted to answer at work yesterday but try to avoid posting when working.

I've lost 33 lbs since January 1st switching to low carb "Zone diet" type formulas. You can still eat carbs, but lesser portions and such. Check out the book by Dr. Sears, the science behind the theory is very strong. The results is even better.

I joke about being a dumpy white middle-aged man, but the truth is after the loss, my face and body are more chisled than ever. I'm just lovin' it, and the food it so good and fulfilling with the method I'm using, I don't really want to change my diet. It's enjoyable.

Finally, my results are directly related to my genetics. I simply cannot eat bread, or more specifically cannot consume an abundance of glutens.

My body doesn't process them, it stores them as fat.

I believe there's going to be a major dietary revolution for much of the caucasian population when it's learned that many of them have the same problem. Bread is the "great white lie". It's NOT GOOD FOR MANY OF US and is leading to severe health problems.

In fact the major change in my diet that's noticable is that I simply stopped eating bread. I eat everything else and watch my consumption of sweets.

Oh yeah, and no more "Pop Tarts" for breakfast. That was bad. ; )

You're added! Congrats on your loss!

I know what you mean about bread products. Even though I do WW I still have to make sure I get a good amount of protein and keep bread and pasta to a minimum otherwise I just stop losing. If I do have some carbs I try to have it with some protein and some healthy fats, like olive oil.

Reading over the thread it seems people doing commercial diet plans Weight Watchers, Zone, South Beach, and Atkins seem to be the most popular. Many others have either cut calories and portions or cut out sugar and white flour.
