The worst?!? I can understand that for many people, the draw of the show is Tony and only Tony, but for me the writing can carry one final season sans Tony, as we see the collapse of his empire after his death and the effects it would have on the stillborn man AJ, the hypocrite Carmella, the addict Christopher, the honor driven old school Johnny Sac. Who dies, but someone else's hand or his own? Who goes to jail? Who lives out their lives miserable and depressed? The dangling sword of dark (but earned and self imposed) tragedy hanging over the heads of this entire family has little appeal beyond whether Tony lives in the last 18 episodes?!? No, you people are all hooked, as are we all, like we're the poor sap with a fishing line sewn between our nipple rings.
And yeah, I can't stand AJ and Meadow, but at least they're given interesting subplots to finish the series. AJ vs. Jr, and the gay capo making a move on Meadow's fiance (as seen in the previews).
Tony is not the only draw of the show for me. I understand it's all very deep, etc. You are probably much smarter than me, I am not being sarcastic, I just hated the episode. Maybe I need to think about it. Carmella came off as phony to me, all the dramatics, etc. I'm sure many more interesting episodes to follow. Tonight was not one of them for me.
It is still too soon in the show for this to go down. I'll give Chase some room on this but they got greedy in doing an extra set of episodes at year end.
Anyone notice Christopher holding hands with Meadow at the hospital? They could do a lot with a possible Meadow/Christopher relationship.
