Nah, enough time passed so that wasn't going to happen.
This is part one of a two part season. Tony and wife are certainly going to have more issues with AJ and Meadow, especially with her being engaged. Frankly, while it adds some depth to the characters, it tends to be a distraction at times. However, Edie Falco does a great job with her character and the writers have done an equally good job with Carmela, a self-absorbed woman with no depth as a person.
There are a lot of business issues to work out.
The NT crew and Tony have problems stemming back from Steve Buscemi's character shooting Phil Leotard's kid and Johnny Sack being in the can.
The Gay Capo issue is going to come out. Otherwise, why introduce it in last season's episodes?
Tony is likely to have issues in his own family. Likely to see someone get clipped.
Don't forget that they have an informant in their family. I think they are handling this badly. Perhaps they didn't expect to go with so many final season episodes but he is likely to bring down Tony.
Michael Imperioli's character, Chris is something to resolve as well. Tony has looked at him as the future but his drug use is always an issue.
What is the deadpool right now?

True...but it looks like at least two of the informants (one we knew about from last season) and the other one we didn't know about, are now dead.
Yes, Janice now has a several-month old infant and so it appears that 15 months have gone by since Johnny was "sacked" by the feds. Johnny Sac and his money problems is another reason why there is going to be many more shady deals going on with the family. Johnny isn't going to be happy if his wife doesn't have enough money for food! LOL
Yes, Carm was not pg and nothing to come of that. I guess her one fling is going to be kept private. And apparently, her marriage is pretty tight right now.
I guess Vito wasn't going to whack Finn, after Finn found out about his true nature. I wondered if something was going to happen to Finn over it. Of course, it's early yet. And you know they'll whack Vito at some point.
There are spoilers boards on the net (if you know where to look) and someone fun is coming back for "closure", so this is going to be a great season.
I don't think Tony bought it last night, either, despite what many think. It would be too complicated if he died right off. I wonder, though, if they aren't doing some sort of strange chop-chop and messing with the order of the entire season, episode by episode. In other words, he really dies but it's not revealed until the very end, the final show. I don't know.
Salut!
