Dan Snyder has an obligation to maximize the profit-margin line of the Washington Redskins. That is what those in business do. They are forever taking the pulse of the marketplace and determining where they can wrest further profits from the operation. The trick is to forge a balance between cost and demand, which Snyder has managed well in his stewardship of the Redskins. He undoubtedly overreached in the personnel end of the team in his first few years, but he has turned the Redskins into one of the most valuable franchises in all of sports. The latest ticket hike of the Redskins is hardly surprising after the team made the playoffs last season. Teams, like other businesses, raise prices to remain competitive. If not, they suffer the consequences.

"There's an old Arab proverb: If you starve a dog he'll follow you anywhere."
- L. Paul Bremer
And until they released five players today, they were already over the cap, without a single FA or a single rookie draft pick.
And the skins fans will open up their wallets to Snyder, like they've done since the 1st day he's arrived.
- Exorbitant price for parking, they sellout every game.
- Snyder gets his government buddies to make waking to the game illegal, they sellout every game.
- Snyder puts in THOUSANDS of obstructed view seats in FedEx, they sellout every game.
- Snyder discounts Champ Bailey's Jersey to sellout inventory BEFORE Snyder trades him to Denver. They keep on buying from the skins stores.
- Snyder charges to see training camp, they still come in droves.
Snyder can sell poop on stick, and these people would still buy it. It's laughable. If you want to know why he can do these things, just look at the fans who buy up anything Snyder tells them to.
What is even more satisfying is that no matter how much he spends or how loyal his fans are, he can't even make his team respectable. Even Joe Gibbs can't save the Snyder juggernaut. Now he's got to cut all the high-priced talent and will be looking up at the playoffs - again - for the next 3-5 years.
Ain't you happy to not have to park there?
Gad! It is hotter here than Baghdad... Glad I have something cool to drink!
You won't be able to say that much longer. Won't be long before it's SCORCHING hot here.
We're only cooler than you right bnow because it's nighttime. ;-)
$35 to park at freakin' FedEx Field?? Dang! I'm old enough to remember when tickets cost around that. I've only been to FedEx Field once, in 2002. Saw the Redskins beat my Texans and I shivered all the way through it. They need a ROOF.
The parking was a freebie...my sister's company gave her four Club Level seats plus a parking pass.
I am older than dirt... But you, my dear Allegra, are still a young whippersnapper!
