Van the Man deserves top 5 billing. Kurt Cobain and Micheal Jackson belong on the worst 25 list.

Colbain above Clapton? What does Clapton have to do to get some recognition for his considerable legacy, shoot himself in the head?

With all due respect, the list you publish is an embarrassment.
Here's a start, and get back to us when you've compiled a list of the real heavy hitters in the Rock and Roll world.

OK ... The Band is at 22 yet Madonna and Stevie Wonder and Kurt "Shotgun" Cobain are in the top 10. The Band gave us the undisputed greatest rock concert of all time.
And where's THE WHO? What deaf, dumb, blind kids came up with this inaccurate listing?

Oh sure, nobody want's to hear about the real white groups.
The Four Lads
The Crew Cuts
The Ames Brothers
Tommy James and the Shondells
Jimmy Beaumont and The Skyliners
The Tokens
Bill Haley and the Comets
The Vogues
The Jaggerz
They never get enough credit.
Now these were great groups or individuals.

Neither Kurt Cobain nor Michael Jackson should be anywhere near the top 10...or top 20!

The author must have mixed up 25 best with 25 worst for a few - take Michael Jackson and Madonna off the list. Jacko - one bad apple
did spoil the whole bunch, and Madonna? I actually like some of her songs, but her voice is so highly synthesized and manipulated and the 'music' electronically manufactured, that for all we know she sounds like Kermit the Frog and anyone of us could do what she does (singing that is) or better.
That being said, add, in no particular order Tom Petty (and the Heartbreakers) and Aerosmith. Now that's a better list. ;-)

And Rob Zombie is dissed yet again...

Whoever made the list obviously has rock and roll confused with R&B and soul music.
