"This was supposed to have been the big "gay" year at the Oscars, with "Brokeback," "Capote" and "Transamerica" all vying for major awards. Many saw "Brokeback" as a kind of great gay hope for best picture."
And some people claim that there is no homosexual agenda.
I wonder how many members the Golden State Gay Rodeo Association has?
Otherwise, thanks for the history lesson.
It was a piece of $hit movie that no one other than ass rammers and their fans went to see. It made very little money and to have it shoved on middle america was, at best, offensive.
The only thing that would change my opinion (homophobe?) of Gays is if there weren't any! Too Bad Butt Monkeys!
This whole thing is predictable. The stories were already written if it didnt win. Just find a few names to fill into the story. I expect the gay bi community doesnt give a big flip. I actually went to go see the movies. It was a decent movie not that bad. It would have been interesting if the movies was set in a pre 60's era I thought. Should have it been nominated? Probally. But I thought the movies on the whole last year were not great. Crash INCLUDED
I hear that for Gay bull riding, as in Gay bronc riding, you get to use a saddle horn, but no hands.
I'm waiting for the movie about gay rodeo clowns
Lmao.. how did I miss that!
We need a major sensitivity re-education program for Hollywierd. It is not nice to make gay men cry.
ahhh!!
it's a red X
I'm blind!!
:)
It's bad enough when gays compare their social neediness to the Civil Rights movement, but when they get apparently straight white liberals to do it for them, it makes me think my head is going to explode.
I'm sure you're right. They will continue at their own peril, which is OK by me. When they get AIDS and die, they will have brought it on themselves.
Thanks for the links....DUmmie heartaches always make me feel warm and fuzzy :)
Here is a quote from the first thread you posted:
"How can one movie be 'better" than a film that you didn't see? How can you say the direct reason you didn't see a movie is because it makes you 'uncomfortable' or is 'not your thing' and still be objective?"
I don't like to watch movies glorifying homicide bombers and pedophiles either. How does my dislike of both "lifestyles" make me a non-objective person? DUmmie "Beyond the Aegis" needs to retake Argumentation/Writing 101.
Thanks for taking the time to post these links.
The truth is that "Philadelphia", with Tom Hanks, won an Oscar. Remember "The Kiss of the Spider Woman? That was another film that depicted homosexuality as a major theme. It probably had some commercial success.
I think alot of people just don't give a damn about the homo agenda. Wouldn't it be nice if this issue has reached its high water mark?
