We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The New York Times is running an article this morning that suggests evidence shows that abortion rates in minors drop only slightly if parents are told about it. The article insinuates parents, therefore, need not be told.
AT&T (or what's left of it) and BellSouth have agreed to merge.
Warren Buffett is pushing up the price of hurricane insurance saying it will become more costly due to global warming.
Airports may be the next "issue" after ports. Turns out that the security and airport management at Indianapolis International is run by a foreign company--though reports don't say which country.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Yes, I am feeling slightly better but this is a tough thing to get over. I am still weak and dizzy, plus have a cough. Mr. Marple is coming home from work at noon, as he has developed a sore throat.
HAR!
Well, there's some good news! Sure wish I could shake this thing.
Oh my goodness.... that flu still has a grip on you? I'm so sorry.
Here at FRee republic we can be at each other's throats over issues but will be side by side in prayer & support for one of ours that is hurting..
there is one such person.. I may post a special thread within the week. But this well known & liked FReeper is having mega health problems.. just for now pray for X.. God knows..
you & mr. M just take it easy. Sleep & rest.. I hope you wont have to babysit this week..Kids & you don't need each other right now. If I were closer, I would help..
That is good news indeed.
Good morning everybody. Mr. Prairie returned from Chi-Town yesterday and he's glad to be back "home". Although the trip was very good in the business sense and he's glad he went.
I'm multi-tasking on a Monday morning..as usual. I'm not even sure what won "Best" picture....was it Brokeback?
Good for the student at Chapel Hill. I hope they succeed, OU could take a lesson.
I know you're relieved to have him home safely.
Going to be 75 degrees here today --- already 70, so I am planning to spend most of the day in the yard!
galloping Gertie..
Read about this bridge & see the mpeg file by clicking the little pix in the right hand side of the link when it opens.

OH, and CRASH won best picture.
I'll bet the older members of the academy didn't like Brokeback!
Going back to bed.
Well, I've managed to clear my schedule for today.
Now wondering what to do about tomorrow.........I have 2 school performances, including an out of town one in the early a.m.; plus 4 piano students & choir practice.
It's one of those, "maybe I'll feel better but maybe I won't" situations...........and as far as the performances I have to decide SOON so they can make arrangements to either cancel or hire a substitute pianist.
I hate this.
I think the weenies in Hollywood were AFRAID to put that up as best pix. They talk big but their actions are small.
You were worn down with worry when the flu hit you. The timing was awful. I feel so badly for you.
Here's another snippet of good news:
POTUS is submitting his LINE ITEM VETO legislation to congress this afternoon!
I saw Tony Curtis on FNC last Friday (I think) and he said he hadn't seen Brokeback, didn't intend to see it and had not voted for it. He added that Crash would win. Based on that, I think old Hollywood stepped up to the plate and defeated it.

I've said it here as I've been thinking and saying since the 1960s "University presidents and professors have no cajones", they are a group of spineless, politically correct nincompoops and these are the people teaching Americas young adults.
Good Morning Everyone. It was really foggy this morning, now it's just hazy.
I have one rose bush to clip back and an antique climber to dig up and move.
Well johnny, how did the kitties fare last night with a full bed to sleep on? I think a lot of us have been where you've been. It's a good lesson which makes us appreciate what we have. It also makes us stronger.
Thanks for the info, I haven't seen either flick. Which is typical for us :^)
