How do I add pictures to my profile?

Posted on 03/04/2006 8:37:37 AM PST by Leatherneck_MT

I've searched for this on the site and I'm coming up blank. Can anyone give me some idea on how this is done?

Thanks in advance.

I have been using photobucket.com for a few years now, I've never used up all my space and it's free.

If it's a pay site it may be OK. Does it have strange rules? Bandwidth restrictions?
Do they require to upload or download at regular intervals? Do they include password-protected restricted areas?

You know, all the flexibility a heavy user of the net would require?

Most of us don't post images because of the hassle of setting up accounts with hosts with strange rules.

http://tinypic.com/ does not require you to have an account. Simply upload your image, and copy the tag and/or URL.

OK, time for some brutal honesty here.

With names like yours (and mine) who would WANT to see our pictures?

"Add on question":

Like Photobucket for .gif or Flickr for .jpg are there any sites where you can upload larger files such as .wmv or .pps and make the links available to posts on FR or on websites? In the same way you would point to other links? Finding the host site not the pointing is the challenge here.

"second add on question"

I've noticed that many of the FR Home Pages have a .gif flag up at the top left corner, outside the normal place for posting material. How can I put a flag in there? Or any other .gif?

For the flag gif, click on "More" in the upper right hand corner of a main page.
Then on "My Locale".
Then "Set My location".
That should do it.
For the other stuff, see post 8.
