"So you guys would advocate getting one?"

Absolutely! It was a great investment.

The only other time I can really remember getting scared was when we were watching the movie IT with surround sound. The movie was stupid, but when one of the characters was looking through the photo album and his dead brother winked at him, I about died right there.

It was the visual along with the loud sound effect that just came out of nowhere. It probably wouldn't have had the same effect if the sound wasn't surround sound.

I must admit, though, the short movie clip from The Ring gave me the creeps, but in a different way.

Have you ever seen the movies "Streets of Fire" or "Repo Man"? If you did, what did you think of them?

Hey everyone, I have to bow out for a short while - talking with Hubby on the phone. Be back in a little while.

I almost started cracking up when Princess Amidala said,

"Hold me like you did at the Lake of Naboo."

Well, let me tell you something about those movies.

"Streets of Fire" stars Tom Pare and Rick Moranis. It has an offbeat plot (singer Ellen Aim is kidnapped by rivals, both Tom and Rick are in love with her and attempt to rescue her). The movie is excellent and the soundtrack is wonderful.

"Repo Man" stars Harry Dean Santon and Emelio Estevaz. It is about punk rockers and repo men. Another offbeat movie that is great.

I know a guy like you with your intellect will "get" both of these movies. They are both from the 80's. Try to find them and rent them. It would be worth your while.

I figured out the end of "Repo Man". If you watch it, see if you can figure it out.
