Howdy people! Howdy doo! Had to check your home page. Didn't expect California folks to say Howdy, 'cept for the Beverly Hillbillies of course, and they were from the (drum roll....) the Ozarks. :)

Whelp, if it helps any, I'm not a native Cali girl.
Born in Chicago, moved to Nebraska, then Colorado, then to Silicon Valley.

I would like to know if that was originally in the script, or if Jack Black ad-libbed that -- it looked like Tony Robbins was caught by surprise.
Or was it good acting? Hmmmm...

I think my favorite infomercial(as it has been called), was probably "morning in America,", from the summer of '84, for the Regan 2nd term race. I know some will say "It is not an infomercial", but it was at least 20 minutes long or so, had the song "God bless the USA", played in it, went over the accomplishments of the first term, and hopes for the second.
Some here may be too young to remember it, but I do, and it stands out till this day.

Hey Scott, you are from Missouri right? Did you see where our Governor Matt Blunt made it illegal for persons to protest at a funeral? You can no longer protest at a funeral one hour before or after. This is of course in response to that "baptist" congregation in Kansas. I can't recall the leaders name. What do you think of this?

Is this a recent move?Nope. Hubby and I are trying to escape from Kalifornia now. We're working towards moving and buying a house in or near Minden (NV) when the hub retires from the army. We like the weather here. But not the people or the politics. We're a definite minority where we live.
You know what's funny is California is mostly a red state except for the Bay area and LA. Orange County (where Disneyland is--my favorite place on the planet) is extremely conservative.
