New Zogby Poll on American Soldiers
Posted on 03/01/2006 5:34:20 AM PST by GoCocks
So I assume everybody has seen or heard about the new Zogby poll saying American soldiers want the US to pull out of Iraq?? Has anybody figured out how this one was rigged? I would love to know how that poll was conducted and what the wording of the questions were. That must be BS. I searched the website and didn't see any mention of it.

Wow what a shock. A poll that found that American soldiers in a combat zone want to come home.
That has never, ever happened before.
Zogbys a moron.

The Zogby poll is right on the money. When asked when they want to go home they said 2006. Hell when I was in Vietnam if someone had asked me when I wanted to go home I would have said, "yesterday." It's a stupid poll and stupid question. Every soldier wants to go home as soon as possible, however. However, they all know, as I knew 35 years ago, that realistically that's not possible. And any professional soldier, as they all are, knows you can't leave until the mission is accomplished. Too bad the politicos don't know that, they didn't know that 30 years ago.

I'm waiting for the Zombie poll that asks Americans whether they want all Muslims deported immediately if another attack happens in our country.

Check out who sponsored the poll. That will give you your answer.

This effing poll ticked me off. These damned commie pinkos are getting to me big time. Just hope my blood pressure medicine lasts long enough to see these asturds get theirs. Zogby is more than a moron and unfortunately this forum will not allow me to express my thoughts. Did send them a message telling them that they suck.

Yup. It was some old dirty stuck in the 60's peace hippy group commies that hired them.
Media coverage of polling results often neglects to mention the self-interestedness of the sponsor, and John Zogby is a leading enabler. Today, Zogby International's polling reputation may be second only to that of the hallowed Gallup Organization, which makes having a Zogby Poll extremely desirable for advocacy groups across the political spectrum.
One recent Zogby Poll conducted for the libertarian Cato Institute found that "two-thirds of likely voters support personal Social Security accounts" -- i.e., partial privatization. Another, conducted in 1997 for the anti-tort group New Yorkers for Civil Justice Reform, found that Empire State citizens "overwhelmingly believe that the cost of lawsuit awards is too high." And a Newsmax.com/Zogby International Poll, conducted for the right-wing Newsmax Web site, found in late 1999 that two-thirds of Americans wanted Congress to consider a second impeachment proceeding against then-President Clinton. It helped that the poll primed respondents with speculative allegations that the president traded nuclear technology to the Chinese in exchange for campaign cash.
What these polls have in common is that they reveal "findings" that their sponsors wish the public to believe as facts.
This was awhile ago but the facts are still the same. It all depends on the group who is hiring Zogby.
By the way, his brother James, is president of the Arab American Institute.

Hugh Hewitt speculated on his show today that Soros may have a connection. The ideology certainly fits ... afluent anti-war funneling money into a leftist anti war group sponsoring the poll... makes sense to me.
