We Need Your Help! 2-21-06

As many of you may already know, my father has been missing since Feb. 4th 2006. Many of you have come to me to share your care and concern and see if you could help in some way. I appreciate each and every one of you keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. Now I would like to ask for your help. There are hundreds of thousands of missing adults in the country today, and as I have realized through countless hours of research, the resources to find them are not there. Missing adults are entered into a database (CODIS) that is only accessible by law enforcement agencies, coroners, medical examiners, etc. This makes it difficult for the community to know what to look for when trying to find a missing person. There are no amber alerts for adults. We need as many people as possible to have the information to spot my father. We need media coverage, and because there is no suspicion of foul play, and he is not a child, the networds don't want to broadcast his information. Please take a moment to call or email the networks and tell them you want to see more information on the missing upstate man, Charlie Duffie. The phone numbers and emails are listed below. We are working on posting his info at jasonsproject.org and the National Center for Missing Adults, at theyaremissed.org. Also, as an effort to raise community awareness of my fathers disappearance, we are trying to organize various prayer and candlelight vigils...if your church or organization would like to be involved, please let me know. Neal, do you have a downloadable poster somewhere? I will be glad to put some up. I am in the norhtern part of Aiken County. I can also put some up in the towns of Lexington, Gilbert, Swansea and Pelion.

I work in the ER at SF hosp in Greenville, I'll keep my eye out for him. We have been getting alot of "John Doe's" lately from EMS.

I'm in Pickens County and I would be more than willing to put up any flyers. Good luck with your search, and we will all pitch in however we can.

As a side note, you may want to bring this information to Churches around the area. If you have any pictures, flyers, or other information, let me know and I will bring it to the local churches in this area.

Do you have any pictures of uncle + truck that you could scan and post? Recognition is much easier than recall.

I have printed your info and will keep my eye out here in Greenville. Hubby works in S'burg so I will have him pass the info around his office as well.
