This missing man is my uncle from Welford, SC in Spartanburg county. Any help from the folks here at Freerepublic is much appreciated. He was last seen driving a late 1992 red and gray Chevy S-10 truck. The link posted has more info.(http://www.fox21.com/Global/story.asp?S=4458900) He has been missing for over 3 weeks, and his family is asking for anyone who might have information to please get in touch. Thanks in advance!

This article was in the Spartanburg Hearld-Journal this morning.
Family members of 61-year-old Charlie Duffie continued to struggle Wednesday with questions and fear of the unknown after Duffie's disappearance more than three weeks ago.
"I don't know what to do or where to turn," said his wife, Pat Duffie. "Not knowing is sometimes worse than thinking I might find out what could have happened."
The limbo leaves her fearing the worst, realizing he will soon have been missing for a month.
"Because he was depressed, I realize that he might have thought that leaving would make things easier on me, but he was not
thinking straight," she said.
On Feb. 4, Charlie Duffie said, "You know that I love you" to his wife as he went out the door of their Bollweevil Way residence in Wellford, she said.
He had asked for any household trash to take out, saying he was going to the county landfill, which is not far from where they live.
Mrs. Duffie handed him a bag of garbage, and he threw it into his truck.
Family members have not seen Mr. Duffie and his 1992 Chevy S-10 pickup -- red with an 18-inch gray stripe -- since.
Mrs. Duffie said she recalls hearing him in the bedroom before he left.
When he did not return, she checked the bedside table.
There she found his wallet, cash, driver's license, bankcard and all of his keys, except the one for his truck.
"He's never done this before. He's been depressed. He's threatened to harm himself before. And he's said he's having bad thoughts. But he's never disappeared," she said.
Mr. Duffie did not take his prescription medicines or any clothing from the house.
"I thought sure he would be back by Saturday night," Mrs. Duffie said.
She reported his disappearance to the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office the next day.
Family members said that Mr. Duffie did not have any places he regularly hung out with friends.
"He loved being outdoors. He was a quiet person who liked solitude," Mrs. Duffie said.
Jerry Keller, a nephew, said the family is dumbfounded.
"He's disabled. Needs his medicine. We feel that somebody -- somewhere -- could have seen his truck or him. We simply just don't know what happened," Keller said. "We're worried sick."
Sheriff's investigators using a helicopter have searched for Duffie and his truck. They continue to be in touch with the family, and they have been searching for him as well.
But the Duffies' daughter, Melissa Duffie, said a far-reaching network should be established to locate missing adults.
"There are hundreds of thousands of missing people in this country. This is a problem that needs to be on the front pages everywhere," she said.
Melissa Duffie admitted that she and her family are frustrated.
"We are worried and upset and have spent countless sleepless nights, waiting for a phone call -- not knowing whether the news will be good or bad," she said.
Maj. Dan Johnson with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said anyone with information in the investigation is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 582-7463.
I'll have to get that at lunch time, but will be happy to do so.
Thank you for letting me know.

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that You know where Charlie Duffie is ... make his presence known to those whose hearts are breaking at his absence, O Lord, that they might again hold their loved one close. Thank You that You have sustained his family and friends in the days since his disappearance ... continue to do so, Merciful Father, unto the day of his return. And may it be, O Lord, that all is well. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray, Amen ...
