Poor meese... I felt obligated to sound this moose-alert from the high north to all the moose-supporters on FR!

How can this problem be fixed?

I suspect there have been bad winters in Scandinavia at some point in the last ten thousand years. Somehow the moose (and elks) managed to survive.

I think we need an "Adopt A Moose" program.
Those who are adopted get to come to the USA and live with you.

However, I wouldn't suggest adopting one if you have a sister.
