Marginalize it to the level of the KKK or Nazis, that is a victory.

Women in Burkas and pictures of scantily dressed women are opposite sides of the same coin, both being oppressive to women.
No, Mother Theresa would never have been a pole dancer, nor would she have advocated it for other women, because the above is something she well understood.

One has more choice involved than the other.

This may comfort you, but the majority of videos and music is of that ilk.
Being 'feminine and ladylike' is THE standard. Seriously, you'll never see one of them without full gorgeous outfit, fixed hair, full make-up and nails.
Think back to old Hollywood glam. That is what many of the videos remind me of....

Ya know,
I my issue is do what makes you happy.
So if someone wants to do it,
And it brings them joy.
I just sit back and shut up ;)

That is good. We don't want the pendulum to go too far one way or the other.

Yes, Bollywood!
I'm with you in that I wish WE made our movies etc by that kind of standard. I miss the glamour :)

Did you listen to it beyond the intro? Yes - I listened to two whole minutes. It's annoying music. Teeth-gratingly so.

"I would gladly sacrifice good music for the safety of our Republic "
But the flip side is if you start down the road of curtailing freedoms, you soon can find yourself without a republic to safeguard. As long as you are promoting voluntary adherence then more power to you, otherwise we find ourselves in a quandary of "how short a burqua are you comfortable with".

Not to belittle cleavage (which I would never dream of doing), but a well shaped belly has them both beat hands down. No pun intended.. honestly.
It really points out the silliness of getting all huffy over a body part. Since the whole point of not exposing part X is.... I'm not even sure what the point is, but it has something to do with sex. Since we all are attracted to different things trying to hide one part makes no sense. I guess thats where the burqua got it's start, just cover it all, problem solved.

In some places women, as hard as it is to believe, actually chose to wear burkas, like in the U.S.
And while some women many choose to objectify themselves, they help to cause the objectification of all women by increasing numbers of people, mostly men. In that way, the choice of a few, is forced on us all.
