Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Through shadows to the edge of night
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Did you notice dust and dirt on your car this morning? Not any more than usual. :)
Miss Cat took a walkabout tour of theyard. Glad she decided not to visit the neighbors' yards.

Evenin' everyone!
Ramius called and said to say "hello" to the Hobbit Hole.
He'll be out on the streets of SF for dinner and a show tonight (company paid).
There's plenty of rain out there, so no real fear of Smug in the forecast. ;-)

K...looks like it's going to be drippy for awhile anyhow.
Maybe I'll do that hardware store run 'n that.
Least the hole is mostly dug, when we get back to it.

Is there to be a RockyMoot, or did all the nascent smoochery and subsequent planning of nuptials put that one aside?

Best I can figger the first time I didn't have the filter in correctly. Second time it just needed to cycle thru the reset. Started spittin' out ice sometime mid-morning.

Sounds good winmag! Don't get outta control on us.... you can go just as broke on bargains as you can paying full price, but we'll likely be sending another donation soon.Thank you, donations are always deeply appreciated. And don't worry, I'm soooooo far behind in shipping what I already have that there's no reason to buy more right now.
To: Corin Stormhands
Thank goodness it was an easy solution. I was half-expectin' ya to come back in here and announce that the fridge went ~boom~.

I think it's been postponed so that folks can save up and fly out for Jen & Talon's wedding. *smile*

Fortunately it's still under warranty. But it was a simple problem (if not a simple fix).

Just getting a Shrimp-Crab Casserole out of the oven. I took a nap around 5 til 6:30; just couldn't hold my eyes open any more. So supper's late tonight. I think we're gonna watch The Mask of Zorro later.

Ahh! I don't know what's wrong with ours. SirKit is gonna attack it next week to see if he can fix it. After the thing gave way and poured water all over our kitchen floor one night, the result of which I had to vacuum 6 gallons of water out of the basement carpet, we disconnected it and have been using ice trays. With summer coming, and selling the house, we want to fix it.
