Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Through shadows to the edge of night
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

You lobbying for more coupons. ;-)
I'm impressed with the prices at the local chain, too, so far at least. Lot of good sales on eggses and milk and chicken and other basics like that. At the moment I'm being pretty erratic about cooking, but it's good to know I'll be able to use those sales.
I gotta figure out the food situation at my new job...don't know whether we have access to a fridge or what. May be I'll need a lunch bag. They also have a little deli and coffee shop in the building that sells sandwiches and drinks, but it ain't cheap. It'd be a good fall back for days when I accidentally sleep in or forget my lunch, but not an everyday thing.

We used to have Albertson's here but one of the local chains bought them out.
I absolutely love Publix, so it'll be a mini-quest for me to figure out which supermarket I like best in WA. :-D
Although, I doubt I'd be lucky enough to find somewhere that sells milk for under two bucks. ;-)

We have Albertson's here...same sales. ;-)
But I'm liking Megafoods. I dunno if they have any stores up where you'll be, though. There are some in Tacoma, my brother said - that's where they shop. Dunno how widespread they are beyond that.

Has Jen given you instructions on using the palantir to obtain shows?
To: RosieCotton
Steve has a deli at his job too and that's exactly what he does.

Well...coffee's gone, and hopefully I've had enough water that the headache I woke up with is going to dissipate soon. Guess it's about time I took Cisco out for a short run and play, and then started on a post hole before any rain starts - it's just cloudy now.
To: RosieCotton
It was good! You should see it.

I want to clean stalls before I start fencing, they need it and I want them to be able to air out all day today.

And yes, I would gratefully accept a coupon if they wanted to give me one, *however* I wrote to Helmmans Mayonnaise company and told them I appreciated their canola oil mayo and they wrote me back a nice note thanking me but no coupon. I just bought some more of their mayo yesterday.
Heh heh...I don't know if that makes me a better character or not.
LOL!!

Rosie's got a new fence. Y'all should invest in a milk cow.

SP was classic.
Smug cloud... perfect. I think that's what bugs me about the bay area. It's that monstrous cloud of smug. :-)

Heh. Thank you!

LOL!
Hey, do you know anything about the movie "Eight Below?" We saw the trailer at the cheap cinema yesterday before Narnia and it looked pretty good! I wonder if it would be good to take the jedis to?
