Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Through shadows to the edge of night

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,

Hill and water under sky,

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,

Of course the interesting thing in all of this is...
y'all know how much of the housework and other stuff I do and I get little help. In the Mrs. defense, she's overworked with two jobs and taking care of Nana. At the same time it often ~feels~ like I'm doing more than my "fair" share...
Anyway, last night when I got home she was out running an errand. I looked at the house, and decided "I'm going on strike." I put my own laundry in the wash and went to take a nap...alone... So, there's that. ;-)

From Rosie's description, I had imagined this big old slowboat dog... He's a very active eager little guy, most certainly lab mixed with border collie, aussie, or the like.
She's gonna need her fence :~D He wants to GO, but he's got a nice, outgoing, friendly personality.

He was much bouncier this time than I remembered...but he's a sweet little guy!
He's following me around as I get lunch and such. Great...another shadow. The cats already do that. Speaking of which, he appears more afraid of them than they are of him, but I'm supervising.
